It is so dry out here I'd welcome a shitload of severe thunderstorm warnings along with the tornadoes.

We already get the 50-90mph winds without any of the good stuff, so why not?

Unreal video showing the effects of that tornado. The before and after is just insane.

We are under the damn gun again.

As I posted last week, Friday was the first time since 2014 that Iowa had a "high risk" area. We're in one again today. So, after 9 years, we now have 2 in one week.

Not only that but as someone mentioned, Friday was one of the only times in history there were discrete "high risk" areas in 2 different parts of the country. Today, there's two discrete areas.

This is getting ridiculous.

Just got some hail. They were no bigger than buckshot sized, but for a few minutes that shit was intense. I'm sure being outside would have really sucked. Scared the hell out of the cats.

For the record, Southern Missouri is not going to be hit till later tonight. Their hatched zone will slowly transition from Iowa to Missouri toward the night time.

AKA

Nighttime tornados for those of you near Branson etc.

We're getting a pleasant April snow in Denver today.

For some reason I have cabin fever really bad this year. I'm usually immune to seasonal changes, but it feels like winter has lasted about 15 months this year.

It has been record snowfall across most of the West this year. So you would be correct in feeling that way.

I wonder if it's connected to the weather California is having right now. We are getting record falling rain and snow. Think I just read the snow pack here is the highest ever recorded. An "Atmospheric river" is flowing through the middle of California causing lots of firsts and record breakers.

This also marks the first time that the Los Angeles Aqueduct was breached by extreme weather, the Los Angeles Times reported.
