Unexpected things happening, call it

Taken from the other thread, mocks always end up being pretty far off and a few teams do things out of left field.

Lets call some shots here of things that will happen that are unexpected.

I'll start, Keion White goes in the 1st round, I think it could be as early as 15 to Green Bay.

Yep.

That's why I used the word "if". If anybody in this class has a CHANCE to do what Allen did, it's Richardson. But it's still just a chance.

At this point as we stand today I won't be at all surprised if Mazi Smith is our first pick and I'm not sure what the reaction will be.

Just take BPA at OT/WR/EDGE. You could even take a DT or TE. Just take best player at a position of need.

Sounds good to me. I want to see as many running backs and quarterbacks and positions that the Chiefs aren't looking at to go in the first as possible. Drop those wide receivers, EDGES, and OT into our range.

That said, I just don't see how teams keep drafting running backs high. I thought that Dallas was dumb for drafting Zeke at, the Giants were even dumber for drafting Barkley at 2, and I will criticize Atlanta or whoever drafts Robinson if it's in the top 15. There just isn't the value at the position for a RB that high. Chiefs used the last pick of round 1 for CEH and even that was too high. Tell me that the Chiefs wouldn't be better with Tee Higgins, or the Giants wouldn't be better with Josh Allen, or the Cowturds wouldn't be better with Jalen Ramsey. All players that were passed on for the aforementioned running backs and went soon after. But tsome eams don't learn. Even if the player does well, then they screw up and sign them to a big second contract that they rarely are able to finish. Cowboys did it with Zeke. It'll be interesting to see what the Giants do with Barkley. If they're smart, he plays on the tag this year, then walks.

Has anyone said "Chiefs make a draft-day trade of a defensive player for a first-round pick?"

Because I just have this feeling that they're going to do that.

On twitter there are people that have them moving Sneed for a late 1 or early 2.

I defer to the experts. I haven't a clue on players, just the positions of need.

It's a rumor in their fan base apparently because of some of their moves...they really do need some kind of offensive playmaker.

Gotcha. Hoping Robinson goes off the board that early so I don't have to even sweat him going to the Chargers, Bills, Bengals, or Eagles.

There's articles from the west coast saying Chargers are going WR...or that's their preference.

Bills and Bengals are a crap shoot.

While I would hate to see Sneed traded away, if we got a first round pick for him, I wouldn't be too upset. Veach drafted very well at corner last year and this is a contract year for Sneed. Veach hasn't shown any precedent to indicate that he would re-sign him, so let's get a good pick for him while we can I guess. It would be great to get Minnesota to trade the 23rd pick for him. I doubt that we could get better than that. And we might have to give a late pick back to get that

No competent GM is going to trade a 1 for Sneed's last year just to have to pay him later.
