Maybe, but I doubt it.
Look at the end of their season in 2022; with no actual QB they lost their last 5-6 games, but their defense didn't allow any team including BUF and MIA to score more than about 21 points. And look at their offensive weapons. They have a lot of talented receiving weapons, a possible top-10 WR in Garrett Wilson, a top-10 RB in Breece Hall. A top-10 OL, iirc. And then they have a good coaching staff. I won't say they're top-5, but they're probably top-10. It's going to be hard for them to be bad this year.

Garrett Wilson is a good player but is not a top ten WR. I loved Breece and was higher on him than most pre-draft but he's coming back from a nasty injury. I'll be happy if jets split with Buffalo this year. |

Regardless, NYJ has a lot of talented players and flashed that potential in 2022. Lack of competent QB play was the biggest hole on that team, per every analyst last year. During the two games i saw them play, I think I noted in one of the GDTs that if they had prime Alex Smith they probably would've made the playoffs ahead of MIA. Maybe that was hyperbole, but bottom line, they didn't need elite QB play, just better than average. Rodgers can easily deliver that much with that supporting cast.

Then they proceeded to shit the bed anyway and their other QB's also stunk. One good thing is they removed LaFleur who was a terrible OC last year. But there are ways this could go badly too. Rodgers is VERY picky about wrs, if you don't run the route the way he expects you aren't getting the ball. I will be watching Rodgers to Wilson early to see if Rodgers likes him or ends up favoring Lazard (sounds crazy to anyone that doesn't follow GB but very possible according to my GB friend). |

Per ESPN, Rodgers has begun working out with his teammates already. He's not playing golf all offseason like last year.

I agree that Rodgers could well decide that Lazard is his go-to WR, which seems crazy to me, but it wouldn't surprise me either. Thing is, he doesn't need to put up 4,500+ yds and 40 TDs in 2023. Not if that OL and Breece come back healthy and that defense plays 80-90% as well as they did last season. He can ride that running attack and defense, play average for Rodgers and pretty easily make the playoffs.

Not yet at least. The kid is NICE. He made Elijah Moore (who impressed in 2021-22) a disposable afterthought and gobbled up that target share like an alpha despite being a rookie. If he develops chemistry with Rogers, he could put up some bigtime numbers this year and enter that top-10 convo.

It's possible he does well with Rodgers. It's also possible he won't. I bought Wilson stock last year because it was cheap. Selling on him this year because now he's probably overvalued. |

And the eye test appears to indicate that he has the physical tools/skillsets to be a very good WR in the NFL. Maybe not top-10 in 2023, maybe not ever, but a legit WR1/2? Absolutely.

Orlovsky thinks he could be a top-10 guy. I haven't watched enough of him to know. From the couple games I did see, he's no JAG. Especially when considering that he had two of the worst QBs in the league throwing to him all year, from behind a banged up OL. Right now would you take him ahead of Christian Kirk? because Kirk finished 14th or 15th among all WRs in 2022.
