He won't have to run it as much and that could extend the amount of time that he's not injured. There are also the Vikings, who haven't been bad since Cousins came there. Cousins might suck shit this year since he's gonna be 35, but if he doesn't then the Vikings have a decent shot at the division.
Anything is possible.

However, MIN boasts one of the league's worst defenses, both vs. the pass and the run, and I doubt they filled all those holes in one draft/FA cycle.

I actually kind of like Justin, but let's be serious: he's shown a few flashes, but he's still not very polished as a NFL QB. Last year he spent most of his time running for his life, and while CHI may have given him some help there, we can basically write off most of last season in terms of his development as a QB, because he literally didn't have much opportunity to gain experience as a passer. Now he has some new weapons, but he's still developing chemistry with them.

Goff is a veteran QB, not a great one, but he isn't in the same developmental boat as Justin. He's more advanced mostly through sheer experience, plus he has a decent OC, a run game, a decent set of receivers, and what appears to be a rising defense.

Look at it another way: In the NFC-N when comparing all four teams, only MIN has as much quality at coaching, QB play, offensive weapons, experience. DET has the better defense and it's probably not that close.

Minnesota is about to go into a heavy rebuild this is probably their last year of being a decent playoff contender.

And I stand by what I said, Jared Goff is Trent Green

I could probably argue that he’s not even as good as Trent, not that it matters.

I never said Goff was great, or that he even significantly improved since the last time we played him. All I’ve said is that the team around him has improved significantly at every level.

That's an insult to Trent Green.

Trent was a quarterback. Goff is a JUGS machine.

They might be able to score with KC and make it tighter than we'd like. I look forward to all the whining about Spags if that happens.

But KC should score almost at will on that defense.
