One of the articles states that Fowler says we spoke to him during the offseason. We then obviously signed Gabbert instead and don’t even have the cap room to sign Wentz.

I doubt it's true, but as posted in another thread..

You need your backup quarterbacks to know the playbook inside and out and to be ready to go at a moment's notice. You need them to be drama free and happy to help your QB1 and head coach. Wentz, in contrast, has never accepted coaching in his career and has been a locker room disaster on every team he's been on.

Pretty much the opposite from what you want on a guy who needs to be quiet, coachable, and content holding a clipboard.

It's Andy Reid.

He takes the outcasts and unwanted and rehabs them.

I think this would be a good move. He has the ability, just needs the guidance.

He's been plagued by injuries and failure everywhere he's been. What is the upside of this?

I reject the notion that Wentz, who is now 30 years old, has some unlocked next level that is going to make him a great QB we can turn round and trade for picks.

He had one good season, got injured before it was over, and then his backup won the SB with that team.

Otherwise, he's a journeyman.
