Of course that's part of it.

Which is also part of my "But really now...I think maybe Chris Jones can go fist a collie" reaction to it.

"My team desperately needs what I can provide so I can either take my $20 million base salary - the 2nd highest among defensive players in football this year - and step it up to help out. OR I can leverage the situation and troll people on social media...."

Yeah - Chris Jones can go fist a collie. This is an absolute bullshit reaction from a supposed 'team leader'.

You start behind the 8 ball in this AFC, you could end up a WC pretty easily.
Fortunately the primary competition for the #1 seed is going to come from the AFC East and it appears those guys will spend the season beating the piss out of each other.

So that leaves the Bengals and at least we'll have the ball on our racket vs. them at some point. I mean that's essentially a 2-game swing with the win AND a tiebreaker. We can be a game behind them, win that game and actually leap ahead.

But yeah, this isn't a roster that's anywhere close to full strength for the first few weeks of the season. That's gonna sting.

The north is gonna be a bear as well I think. The Ravens are at full strength and atealst have a dynamic QB. The Steelers could really surprise some people this year too.

We just need to do our thing and make sure and take care of the West and we should be ok, but I'd really like to have a nice comfy lead by the time those late season games roll in.

It's Chris Jones. Fisting the poor collie is actually more gentle than the alternative...

There's no way they don't keep ISM on the roster, right?

Yeah, shit hurts.

I still feel in my heart of hearts he is a team leader. And he has plenty of money to last him and his family a lifetime. It has to be about respect at this point. Sucks...

I think it is a possibility. They need a returner and James is listed as the PR and Prince as the KR with James listed as his backup.

All the WR's that will be on this team area capable of returning other than Moore. He should be the absolute last option.

Probably don't want Toney doing it either except in special circumstances. Going to need a KR though once Prince is gone and not sure they would have James do both.

I'm with O.City here. The Bengals split with the Steelers last year. They narrowly escaped getting swept.

With the Steelers improving their pass blocking, they have a real shot to make the playoffs. I can definitely see the Bengals splitting with the Ravens and Steelers this year.

It's a shame rhe Bengals don't have the Steelers early. I could see that being a contest with a rusty Burrow. Not convinced the Browns aren't turd again.

The Bengals always struggle with the Browns. And Myles Garrett and Z"Darius Smith are going to give the Bengals' T fits.
