I'd be more inclined to scour the other cuts like I think I'd rather have Trysten Hill than Matt Dickerson.

The OL math was not working in his favor at all.

They weren't carrying 11, Prince appeared to be the top choice for backup LT as Morris was struggling a bit at LT (though he looked good at RT) and they have a bit of an investment in Niang.

So with your starting 5 you had very little wiggle. And frankly, Kinnard looked okay but Caliendo looked better.

Honestly I'm not convinced they'll even carry 10 - there's still more than a week before opening day. I wouldn't be surprised if they moved off Niang at some point as well.

He just ran out of time to make an impact.

Herring's the one I really don't understand but it is what it is. I just don't see anything there.

Omenihu's suspension got him a roster spot.

Like I said - I thought they'd just pivot to a heavy interior and lean into Dana/Wharton as rotational rushers more.

Base package could have a couple fat-bodies in there. But that wouldn't have squared with the Shelton cut.

The thing that's most odd to me about Dickerson is that he's a vested veteran so they are likely going to have to guarantee his entire deal. It's a 7 figure veterans deal so it's not nothin'.

I just think I'd have cut him and kept someone like maybe Truman Jones.

In reality he may be the last guy who gets replaced in a day or 2 for a claim or vet signing that they like more.

So this Caliendo guy whoever he is, and Allegretti when he recovers, are the new backups at guard?

I dunno man, seems like a weird move

Waived, Injured - Remigio

Well that's unexpected. Figured they'd just IR stash him. Cap concerns?

Caliendo is probably the long term Allegretti replacement, like this is probably Allegretti's last year here.

Caliendo looked better than Kinnard, though. He looks surprisingly athletic for a 300 lber.

That's the kind of guy you really want to see develop because he's a strong guy with good athleticism who just played for a small school. If you can coach a guy like that up, you have a cheap Allegretti for a few years. He wasn't on the active roster last season so he's still 4 years away from UFA status. He's been in the system for a year, just like Kinnard but Kinnard's a year closer to free agency.

If it's a tie, you give the edge to Caliendo because of the team control. But honestly, it didn't appear to be a tie to me. I think Caliendo just looked better.
