Totally agree. Because then you can actually envision how he just slides into CJ’s role and gives us at least some of the same pass-rushing juice without throwing off the rest of the scheme.

Our defense seriously has the potential to go from bottom-5 to top-5 from the first to second half of the season just because of these two.

These guys aren’t novices. They worked with Drew Rosenhaus for several years and eventually started their own agency several years ago. They negotiated CJ’s last deal with the Chiefs when they were on their own.

The main dude is really good friends with my sister's best friend. He's a ****ing douche, and it doesn't surprise me that he's giving CJ some terrible advice this go around honestly.

We just won a SB. There’s no part of me that’s terribly stressed about anything happening this season win, lose, or draw.
Those WAR stats say Pat is worth 6-7 wins, and that matches what my eyeholes tell me.

Oh, I have no disagreement there. I think these guys are giving some truly terrible advice. I have no idea why he hasn't reported in the last few days.

Rosenhaus has tons of clients and these guys love CJ so basically he gets more attention and probably gets a cheaper rate than Rosenhaus for their services.

And another site has his WAR at about 3.5.

Seems a robust stat that we should rely upon.

Do you think CJ is just as douchey, or is he just not very bright?

If our defense is even average these first few weeks, then we should all be very very excited.

Especially if we see guys like Karlaftis, FAU, and Danna getting pressure. Or an interior rush from anybody.

The more I think about this, the less I agree with his actions, apparently from someone who doesn't want to play for another organization. I just read that Jones is ready to holdout until week 8, which means the Chiefs aren't dead set on the value he wants, and vice versa for Jones. If there was any room for sacrifices in this deal, it would have been done by now. He is nearing 30 years old.... the Chiefs also have many other positions that could use an upgrade. Jones is still on a contract and is holding out to benefit himself, not the organization. Tag him and trade him the following year, someone else can get stuck with the massive longterm contract on a 30+ year old man.

3.5, 4.5, whatever.

It tells me we shouldn’t spend 60% of Pat’s cap hit on a disgruntled, aging DT.

Mahomes is the most valuable player in the game and almost certainly has the highest WAR the sport has ever seen. Not sure we should be comparing anyone to him because his value is incalculable.
