That’s probably what the season stats will show, but the defense can still be an actual top 5-10 unit if/when both are playing.

Can’t believe we find ourselves in this situation. Definitely going to make it a more dramatic game and more memorable win if we’re able to pull it out.

I think I’d be okay if he reported now (okay, fun and games are over) or if he reported in week 8 (really principled stance - perhaps stupid but he stuck to his guns and knowingly cost himself a bunch of money). It’s if he watches a few games and sees that the team can survive without him and then realizes that he’s lost all leverage and then reports that he will really go to being one of the Chiefs players I historically like least.

If we're able to pull it out? Dramatic much? You're acting like an actual good team is coming to Arrowhead with this kind of hand wringing.

It's the ****ing Detroit Lions, TwistedPanties. They haven't been to the playoffs in 6 or 7 years and haven't won a playoff game since Barry Sanders was suiting up in 1991. Dan Campbell is gonna need to bring more than " bite their kneecaps" coming into Arrowhead.

I think 15 probably got this. Blindfolded and throwing the ball with his feet. The Lions were the worst defense in football last year.

Pull it out, lmfao. Take a ****ing breath. You're going to witness a similar thrashing to what Arizona received week one last season, yes, even without your lord and savior black Jesus CJ95 on the field.

If the Kansas City Chiefs lose this football game, then a helluva lot more than Chris Jones not suiting up went wrong.

Like half the team showed up in a diabetic coma.

It's a new season. Who knows how those teams offensive lines will be this year.

This isn't college every NFL team is good to a degree. Chiefs lost to the Colts last season so stop acting like any game is a guarantee.

Chiefs better come ready to play.

This has been discussed 100 times. If he played every game and got paid that percentage adds to the tag. If he doesn't it goes down. It could 24ish if he actually sits.

Do you recall that we barely beat the Lions the year we won the SB?

Do you recall it took a random 99yd fumble recovery for a TD? And then a late 4th quarter drive?

Aren't you the one who finds Andy Reid a fraudulent coach?

The Lions were inches away from making the playoffs last season, yet we lost to the Colts who were one of the worst teams in the league. We also nearly lost to the Broncos, Texans, and Titans with Malik Willis at QB.

Since when did our fans get so obnoxious that they somehow believe we have a birthrite to win these games when we're missing our best defensive player?

The spread is 6.5. If you'd like to actually bet, we can do that to make it interesting.

The Lions are Vegas’ projected division winner and I think their win total is sitting at 9.5. For reference, the Chiefs are at 11.5.

This isn’t a Division II team coming in for homecoming.

It’s a huge bummer, but like Justin Reid said, they’re treating it like Jones is injured. Scheme change and next man up.

Some of you are idiots. The Lions are loaded with talent and present some issues for the Chiefs, especially minus Chris Jones. Nothing that’s happened in the past means Jack shit. The lions are talented, well-coached, and confident after finishing last year on a high note. This isn’t an easy game for the Chiefs by any stretch.

True true, buy hey, no Jones on the field to taunt in front of the head official right when we're gonna get the ball back and run the clock out is nice insurance, since you'd like to bring up the Colts game.

If you believe the Lions have a snowballs chance in hell of defeating Mahomes AT HOME, in September, the night we hang a Superbowl Banner, then you clearly haven't followed this man very closely.

Some of you just get off on hand wringing and doom and gloom.

Chris ****ing Jones is not the deciding factor on whether or not Patrick Mahomes wins any more Superbowls. He's just not.

That greedy **** could fall off the planet tonight and Mahomes is still going to carry on piling up hardware.

Yeah they were well coached into the worst defense in football and missed the playoffs again.

Bang up job.

Andy trembles and guards his kneecaps.

If Jones thought he would have Chief's fans on his side, he gambled wrong there as well.

One thing about Chief's fans: they put team above player 99.9% of the time, as it should be.

Mahomes may be the ONLY exception
