Donald got paid based on how much the Rams valued him. None of his salary was based on the fact that he's a DT and not a DE.

Bosa, TJ, & Parsons are better without question, then you missed Miles Garrett who may be the best of all of them, then you have Haason Reddick, Judon, and possibly Crosby.

So throw in DE's he is somewhere around 6 or 7th best including A.Donald.

Bosa just got $34 M a year! SF has no QB salary to pay, so they can pay a DE $30+ M a year. We cannot. With Mahomes at near $50M there is not enough pie to cut for CJ. Maybe $25 M?

My guess is that Mahomes has a much better understanding of markets than you do. One of the reasons why he makes so much money from endorsements is because he is pursuing true greatness not a short term windfall (though he is making that as well). Look at what Tom Brady is making now with his TV contract with FOX--more than he ever did as a football player. Do you think he would ever make that much if he had maximized his football contract and only won two Super Bowls?

Mahomes has his eyes set on the long term. He understands it is an investment.

I would take Parsons, Bosa (Nick, not Joey), TJ Watt, Garrett, Brian Burns to name a few. I would also contemplate Crosby, Hendrickson, and Hutchinson. This is a DE for Jones as a DE swap.

But he's also one of the best to ever do it at his position. He would have commanded that with any team in the league if salary was no option.
