I still can’t believe he sat in the box and watched the game up there.

I can see him wanting to be there for the banner…I’d understand that..but **** off when you choose to watch the game from a box.

He’s a child that’s about to be sparked by the NFL.

We almost got to three of them in a row with Tyreek. The offense just choked after the half in 2022.

-This situation gets uglier with each passing day of radio silence.
-Those Kats bros are some cockroach looking mf'ers. I wouldn't trust them to walk my dog.
-We love Chris but he's holding the team for ransom. I guess we'll just forget that when the real games begin.

We didn't win the SB either of the prior 2 years with Tyreek.

We won the SB last year without Tyreek.

Mahomes had a better season in 2022 than he did in either of the prior 2 seasons.

Our defense was better in 2022 than it had been either of the prior 2 seasons.

I don't think it's hard to believe at all. Losing Tyreek allowed Mahomes to become a more complete, multi-read QB and allowed us to increase our resources on the defensive side of the ball.

The lesson: Mahomes can do more with less so if given the opportunity, you probably err on the side of doing more with less on offense to invest on the other side of the ball. Doesn't mean you leave Mahomes bereft of options but it is relevant when you're discussing 2 top-10-ish NFL players.

Given their paltry client list and the fact that this might be Chris Jones' last big contract, it begs the question of how much of this is down to the Katz Brothers wanting publicity. This deal is their last chance to make a splash and attract new clients, they haven't signed a single draft pick since they started their agency in 2018. All they have is Jones and a handful of undrafted vet minimum guys in their mid-to-late 20s. They're ****ed without Jones.

Agree. I don’t like this philosophy of just letting everyone walk. We really don’t keep hardly anyone past their rookie deals other than mahomes any more. And I loathe all the one year deals

Panthers defensive end Brian Burns didn’t get the contract extension he was looking for before the team’s season opener against the Falcons, but he was on the field with the team on Sunday afternoon.

I guess we should just trade Mahomes and be done with it. Then maybe we can lose enough games so we can draft top 10 in every round. I think that would fix it so we could pay guys big money on their second contracts. Of course we won't sniff another SB for 50 years again but look all the talent we could keep.

Weird, I'm not loathing anything related to hosting AFCCGs and winning Super Bowls.

Pining for the past and worrying about the future gets in the way of enjoying the glory years.

If Veach could GM in hindsight, I'm sure he may have offered Tyreek more and then dealt with CJ differently... but the Chiefs didn't "just let him walk". If Tyreek had prioritized being a Chief, he would be one. He didn't, so he isn't.

The problem isn't the philosophy, it's the guys who have left (plus CJ) all wanted to "reset the market" that constantly seems to be resetting these days. And there are plenty of teams with money and no franchise QB willing to oblige.

This is really just bizzare of him. He's gonna lose 10 million to prove a point? Then play anyway after? Not in game shape possibly gets hurt and no new contract? Show up to the game and watch it with you agents, wear a blue hat?

Chris Jones fkd this team we could have possibly signed some more help if he negotiated in good faith and didn't wait until last minute. Now he's making a scene about it. All the while he has 0 leverage. He is the one getting fk'd by missing games and not getting paid. It is bad look from all angles, makes 0 sense and not only do i hope they don't extend him i hope they trade his ass asap. He is in petty territory now and he is shitting all over his teamates and fan base.

He signed a contract and agreed to play this year for 20 million and he is throwing a toddler fit cuz he wants a few mil more this year and isn't accepting a pay raise for next year. It is just bizzare man. Chief for life? Chris you can't say that acting like a btch like you are right now. Fk this guy.

They won a SB with Tyreek and went to another one, then went to AFC champ games.

I don't think it's cut and dry to say either way on that, but the guy is absolutely an elite talent and may go down as an all time WR. I don't think I'd get in the habit of trading those guys away. Hindsight and all, yeah, I'd have dealt Jones and kept Hill...but that's in the past at this point.

My issue with trading away blue chip players is that yes, you can get a good haul of picks and money and such. But you also have to find new blue chip players. That's not easy to do.

It's alot easier to fill around them with good solid players though.
