Gabbert needs to be a better backup QB

I love that I am only worried a potential back up QB situation but Gabbert can't be throwing interceptions like today. If he is asked to step into a situation this season like Moore or Henne faced, I don't want him playing hero ball. Especially if the the Chiefs defense continues to play like this!

As I said in the level headed review thread - PTW got absolutely abused on the first Gabbert INT. Hard to tell exactly whose fault it was as the RDE was in Gabberts hip pocket when he threw the ball. The 2nd INT was all Rice. Ball hit him squarely in the hands he just vollyballed it to the defender. Can’t blame Gabbert for that.

I think it's an easy assumption that Reid and everyone would be hammering the situation into his head if it was a playoff game or mattered at all, and play calling woild adjust for it... and hopeful he's not a butt ****ing moron and would understand the difference between a 41-0 game and pretty much any other situation.

He can **** around for a quarter and get some reps in a game like that though... who cares.

You're saying we should bring in Stefon Diggs to tell Gabbert to be smart?

You know its the golden era of Chiefs football when people are making threads calling out our backup QB for not playing well enough in a blowout.

I wasn't crazy about getting Gabbert. Still am not.

But man, Henne looked awful every time he was out there... except when games really mattered. So you kinda have to trust in Andy. But I don't entirely disagree with you.
