I mean, we can almost assuredly pencil in Belicheck NOT trading up for McDuffie. For starters.

It's pretty astonishing just how reeruned you are.

The point is how Belichick the HC covers for Belichick the GM.

Why is this so hard for you to grasp?

That roster is shit, because of Belichick the GM, but Belichick the HC gives you a 7-9 win floor because he's an absolute defensive wizard that always out coaches average to bad teams.

Most GMs get a McDaniels as their HC, not a Belichick. You understand that, right?

At this point I'll go out on a very thick limb and say Jonathan Taylor and Michael Pittman are better than any NE skill player drafted in the last 10 years.

Yup, traded down when the only guy Veach felt was a 1st rounder was sitting right in his lap.

He did it to draft G Cole Strange. I don't know how good he's been, but his PFF grade is ****ing awful, so I'm going to assume he's as bad of a draft pick and a reach as everybody thought he was.

It's not like he didn't need a CB either. He got one this year with Christian Gonzalez, and he looks great.

But it's a lot easier drafting in the top 20 than picks 29-32...

Don't just ignore my point about the dynamic of Belichick being a defensive wizard combined with a great QB. That is a huge factor, and has absolutely nothing to do with Belichick the GM.

Again, the discussion is about whether we would have the same amount of success that we've had over the last 5 years, and how we would be set up for success for the next 5.

With Belichick's shit draft versus Veach's great drafts, the difference would be significant, and anybody arguing different is ****ing reeruned.
I didn’t ignore it. I mentioned it with my “synergy” comment.

Seems you think the combination of BelichickHC and Brady is far superior to that of Reid and Mahomes. Not the direction I’d take things but do you, bud.

Unless you’re going to replace Hall of Famer Andy Reid in KC with Josh McDaniels, what you’re saying is irrelevant.

"Far superior"? JFC give me a break. And you give me shit for saying "seems like".

That's not at all what I'm saying you dumb ****. I'm simply saying that having a defensive wizard and a great HC gives you a higher floor and ceiling.

It's not Reid's fault that he's an offensive minded HC. It's not a knock whatsoever. It's just the truth.

He's right...the HC Belichick covers up a lot of their poor drafts...with a more normal HC they'd be winning 4 or 5 games instead of 7.

Not many GM's get that luxury, hell some GM's draft and build good teams and the coach ****s it all up.

And it's relevant with Reid because Reid has absolutely nothing to do with the defense, and you still need talent on offense to have the success that we've had over the last 5 years.

What if Wynn was our LT answer?

What if it was US paying JuJu and letting Meyers walk for a little more?

What if it was us losing Joe Thuney due to overpaying for other FAs to try to make up for bad draft picks?

What if we draft Tyquan Thornton instead of Skyy Moore (our #2 WR currently that everybody hates)?

Tyquan Thornton is basically useless. That team can't draft WR's at all.

I will gladly take Mecole Hardman, Skyy Moore, and Rashee Rice's over Tyquan Thornton and K'Keal Harry's.

And that's really Veach's only weakness so far. Pretty confident Rice ends that narrative though.
