I’m interested in the how.. like, does it happen by swimming in a dirty river? An infected cut that multiplies in your bloodstream and makes its way to your brain? What type of medication leads to a brain infection?

I suppose I just thought your brain was a bit more protected than that. I’m wondering how life threatening microbes even get to your brain.
