We really need to adjust to the arbitrary whims of the refs, particularly on items that were not emphasized by the league head of officiating over the offseason.

Jawaan Taylor isn’t lining up correctly enough! Also he has to wear high heels out there!

The stupid narrative about the timing of the flag just will not die. Richard Sherman said yesterday that was the "worst" part about the call.

You can watch the replay and see it takes no more than 3 seconds from the time Sauce makes the hold in question to the time the ref clutches the flag. It's clear as day. He double-clutches because he's trying not to hit a player, but the flag is in his hand before the interception is made.

People are actually arguing that because the ref took ALL OF THREE SECONDS to grab the flag, it's suspicious and he clearly wanted to help the Chiefs win.

The ref could have taken 10 seconds and it would still be the correct call.

It's so dumb. Would we rather refs knee-jerk throw flags without even a second's thought? Or would we like them to mentally replay it, maybe think about where the contact occurred on the field, etc? We demand that these guys get it right, but then they get murdered for making a CORRECT call a half a beat too slow.

Refs should only throw flags that help the team I'm rooting for, it's pretty simple.

And actually Simms does call out the refs screwing over the Chiefs earlier in the game. Great video overall that shuts down the idea that the Jets were somehow screwed over. Thanks, Tribal Warfare!
Simms is great. He may say some things we don’t like from time to time but I feel like he does a good job of being unemotional about things. He says what he thinks not what people want him to say, and he knows his shit. I think he’s one of the best out there in the mainstream

I get what your saying and I agree to a point but it's a game. Breaks happen. Calls get messed up. It's part of sports. The jets didn't lose from a bad call. They lost for a lot of reasons. So I don't care if we get a call here and there anymore because calls go against us too. It's impossible for the nfl refs to get everything right under the way things are set up. People will find something to blame.

If it were a bad call, sure, but I don't hear a lot of "you can't call that even though it's a penalty" arguments on CP.
