Chiefs Have #1 Scoring Defense (#2 All Points Allowed)

They’re actually number one if you remove the pick-6 from the Lions game.

Shouldnt the pick 6 not be factored into defensive ranking?

This is how the teams we played rank on offense in ppg.

Lions - 4th
Jags - 21st
Bears - 11th
Jets - 24th
Vikings - 15th
Donks - 19th

None of those teams are the worst offense in the league.

Yes, I qualified my statement about our defense. It's called context.

Lol, so now DEN, CHI and NYJ are good NFL offenses?

They're shit.

Everyone, except for you I guess, knows they're shit offenses.

And did I say that any of them were dead last? No, I said they were some of the worst offenses, not THE worst. Learn to read, hun.

And you mention the quality of the opponent when it's significant, as it is in this case. It' not like DEN/CHI/NYJ offenses will ever be compared to PHI/MIA/ SF offenses in 2023. They are in fact on the opposite ends of the spectrum, by every professional analyst's opinion. Not some couch potato dipstick on CP.

Holding DEN to 8 points isn't in the same universe as holding PHI to 8 points.

If KC held PHI or SF to 20 points, I'd find that a much more impressive accomplishment than holding DEN to 8 points. And so would anyone else with any football IQ.

Get a clue.

Back in those days you planned your pee and snack breaks when we were on offense. Defense was much more fun to watch than the O back then

You're honestly terrible at this if you can't see that this defense is legit.

Atleast they're playing the way you'd expect a top defense to play against bad opponents. Denvers TD was aided by the refs and the bears were able to get a garbage points during mop up time.

The Lions have an elite offense, better than the chargers for sure

That's not true. Denver has scored 30 twice and only failed to score 20 plus one other time against the Raiders. Patriots, Panthers, Atlanta, Arizona, Steelers, Titans etc have been worse.

Well, yeah. Did I say they didn't? I said they were probably a top-6 defense. I said they've been great so far. I'm just not willing to crown them a top-4-5 defense until they actually dominate a top-10 offense, that's actually playing at a top-10 level, that's all. I think that's fair.

Last year, when PHI was playing all those powderpuff teams, and pundits were going around saying they were the best defense in the league around mid-season, didn't we all sit here and say things like, "they haven't played anyone yet"? Yes or no?

It's the same exact thing. Yes, the defense has played very well so far, but let's not pretend they've played 6 good offenses. They played three good offenses, and three shitastically terrible ones, all three of which couldn't field a competent QB. So, I can't weight their performances vs. the dregs of the NFL the same as I would if they'd played three top-10 offenses, instead of CHI, NYJ, and DEN.

Only an idiot would do that. Enter dpstk9.

They're shit.

Everyone, except for you I guess, knows they're shit offenses...
Well if anyone has his finger on the pulse of the Bears' offense it's gotta be you. You really nailed that WA-CHI call in the Bieniemy thread about how the Bears' offense was hot garbage and was going up against a legit Washington defense. And as if to prove your point the Bears then went out and got completely shut down by Washington, who held them to a mere **checks notes** 40 points while getting "blown out" 20-40.

That game was preceded by another offensive stinker where their QB threw for 300yds and 4 tds.

We'll see how their "hot garbage" offense does this week against the Vikes.

One of the few defenses that could match up against 49ers is our D.

If you play zone and sit back (which is what most teams play now) the 49ers skill players will rip you to shreds.

I think Spags could man up their players and send pressure and make Purdy make big boy throws he doesn't have to make now.

The Lions are the 4th ranked O and are avg right under 30 ppg. This D held them to 14 points without Chris Jones. I never said they were world beaters but only one of the offenses we've faced have been ranked in the bottom 3rd in ppg.

Let me guess there offensive rankings don't count for some wild reason?

They're very good.

Young, fast and confident.

For all the criticism you can give Veach for the receiving group. He's given Spags a lot to work with on defense.

Lol at the Bears being called hot garbage on O when they just dropped 40 last week and scored more points on the Broncos then the Chiefs did.
