Let's talk about the Miami Dolphins

Here is my $500,000 question on this game.

Will Spags and Co play it straight and keep their powder dry for the playoffs?

Last season the Chiefs defense (and maybe Andy, don't recall) kept things very vanilla when they went to Cincy.

They lost that battle, but won the war, because the defensive wrinkles Spags wanted to use against the Bengals were unveiled in the AFC Championship and held their offense at bay just enough for gimpy Mahomes to drag us over the finish line late.

Will Spags come into this game guns blazing and try to take out the Dolphins early this season? OR will he keep his cards hidden for the real season?

After missing Wednesday's practice due to a hip injury, it appears Tyreek Hill is already feeling better. The Dolphins star wide receiver was back at practice Thursday.
The best news for the Dolphins is that Hill didn't appear to be limited at all. According to NFL Network, the receiver was able to do nearly everything that he normally does at practice.

Tyreek didn't get the credit he deserves in either KC or Miami. In KC, it was mostly Mahomes/Reid until Kelce did so well last year, people had to acknowledge his greatness. Hill is a game changing receiver and a credit to Mahomes/offensive line/Kelce/Reid/Chiefs GM the Chiefs that they did so well in trading him. Chiefs became more balanced/upgraded defense.

The thing about Hill is even if you manage to contain him as a receiver in the playoffs, he can kill you with a punt return. Other receivers have off games receiving and they give you nothing else.

When I saw the Dolphins were relying upon Isaiah Wynn at tackle, I realized their offensive line may be even worse than reported. Tua with his quick release combined with fast receivers can hide that deficiency against bad/mediocre defenses but against real good defenses, Miami is very vulnerable.*

Except for the fact that everyone was writing off the Chiefs after trading Hill. "Taking a step back" was the common refrain.

I do think they’re getting quite a few injured players back after the bye.

I mentioned it before but Miami is currently 5-2 with a +53 point differential. 50 of that came against Denver, so you take that game away and Miami is 4-2 with a +3 point differential. That is a very telling sign, especially since they have not faced a murder’s row of great teams.

Is Hill going to be healthy for this game?

I'd love to see him get shut down.

The Chiefs are arriving in Germany next Thursday rather than travel there early in the week to get acclimated to the time difference.

Flight time from KC to Frankfurt is about 10 hours.
