Details revealed on Chiefs’ Justyn Ross arrest, charges

Found this to share:

Details revealed on Chiefs’ Justyn Ross arrest, charges

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — New details have been revealed in the case involving Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross.

Shawnee police arrested Ross on Oct. 23, and the Johnson County district attorney criminally charged him on Oct. 24 with misdemeanor charges of domestic battery and criminal damage.

According to court documents, Ross found something on his girlfriend’s phone that “upset him.” After seeing her phone, he began yelling, got in her face and told her to get out of their apartment.

The court document also says Ross pushed his girlfriend and threw her to the floor. He then threw multiple things at her. According to police, the girlfriend had a scratch on her hand.

The girlfriend said that Ross broke multiple items, including a laptop, cellphone, jewelry and the key to her Mercedes.

She also said he scratched the side of her Mercedes with scissors. Officers confirmed that there were fresh scratches on her car.

Ross spoke with police and admitted to breaking the computer and claimed that he owned it. Court documents also say that Ross claims all the things he broke were things he owned.

According to court records, officers talked to witnesses who said they saw Justyn push a woman, and another witness said he saw Ross run a knife across the Mercedes.

Ross is currently on The NFL’s Commissioner Exempt List.

Ross is due back in court for a diversion hearing on Dec. 4.

It is incredibly striking the guy didn't simply ask her to leave, text her they were through, and she's not welcome at his place ever again. That is so sad after the long road he had to overcome to even step football on a football field ever again. Now it may be over.

Exactly the case. Then, if he was really pissed, he could have taken back all of his posessions leagally. That way, he would have the upper hand with all the power, and would be able to remain playing football with the Chiefs Now, he's ****ed.

Is it a foregone conclusion that he will be released?

I’m sure the NFL and the Chiefs in the know have more information as to what happened, as well as spoken in depth to Justyn about what happened. Gotta think he wouldn’t be charged at all if there wasn’t something to the DV claim, but the team hasn’t released him and have kept the roster at 52 players.

It almost seems like the Chiefs are expecting him back.

That's how I read it. IF it were 'that bad' Clark would have came in and "put the hammer down"(like he did with Hunt). Look how ugly it got for Tyreek until everything came out. AR/BV know how talented this guy is and they will pull as many strings as possible to keep this guy on the team IMO. There is something AR/BV know that we don't know and why he hasn't been waived.

Hunt would not have been released if he hadn't lied to the faces of the front office.

Ross should have used the resources the team provides. I am sure the player support staff has a guy that would have thrown all of her shit outside and got a box truck to move it to a storage unit.

There is no excuse for not asking for help from player support, unless that was the guy she was cheating with.
