If the defense could somehow figure out how to make some stops then we might have a chance. That first drive doesn't give me much confidence.

Mike Vernon tweeted not to panic if Ballard starts the game. He tweeted that earlier today.

I thought it was bizarre but he apparently heard something.

There's no reason right now to think Ballard is even good enough to play at this level, let alone good enough to beat a team as strong as KSU. If he's the guy today (and it looks like he is), I just hope it isn't a total blowout for the sake of those fans in attendance.

I am very thankful I opted not to spend $400 to see this game in person last week. I would have been livid if I were in the stands watching Ballard hand it off tonight.

So did I for the past 3 at home (more or less). But that's the AFC Championship game with the best QB in the sport's history at his peak so I could justify it. Don't think I could ever justify it for this kind of game.
