Ballard is incredibly limited and they're clearly trying to hide those limitations through their playcalling (and he still managed to throw two backbreaking picks in the game despite hiding him). He's yet to show me anything that would suggest he's good enough to play at this level.

I don't really think KU got screwed by the officials at all. They just gave gift after gift to KSU and they gladly accepted them all. Until Kansas can find a way to stop turning the ball over against KSU they're not going to beat them. Probably not going to beat them without a better kicker either.

Back to KU. I think they played as well as they possibly could tonight had a chance. Blew it though. It’s program muscle memory.

Phantom hold directly led to 7 points in what ended up being a 4 point game and the final play that won the game was clearly incomplete. Other than that, sure, they didn't get screwed.

They had a bad AD who hired a poor coach… set the program back.. fired him and the new coach had a limited time window for recruiting and putting his new stuff in. That’s the answer.
