It's everyone in the media. Like basketball superstars, all time QBs are always judged by their Superbowl record. The years they don't make the Superbowl are mostly forgotten (unless they never win like Marino).

I realize you always want the chance and you never know you're going to lose the SB. I'm just saying if you let me choose between losing in the playoffs and losing in the SB, I'd rather lose in the playoffs.

Chiefs aren't going to get 31-9'd again, anyway. The OL is healthy.

Get there and ride with Patrick. Anything can happen.

Yeah for sure. And we looked good against the Eagles. I'm not as scared of the 49ers as some. Let's see what Brock does with a gotta have it drive in the 4th Q of the post season.

It does feel like the league would want the 9ers or the Eagles, or even Cowboys, to win this year – which will affect the refs they chose. I think they'd only want us to win over Detroit, because the league never misses a chance to shit on the Lions.

Can't win it if you're not in it. Being AFC champs 4 of 6 years, and winning 2 of 4 is pretty damn impressive. I bet fans of every other team in the league would be overjoyed at that level of success.

There's always going to be a Skip Bayless type of buffoon making arguments like this no matter what they do. Who cares?

No serious person with common sense is going to knock a player that's reached 4 SBs in 5 years in the beginning of their career. Unless he was 0-4.

They were both painful to me. I replayed both games in my head thousands of times until the Chiefs won the SB last season.

Mahomes was criticized more for the Bengals collapse than the game against Tampa where they never had a chance.

Making it to the SB means you are a coin flip from actually winning a Sb.

This is the dumbest argument on CP and that's really saying something.

Nah... If you are on a hot date would you rather have a girl tell you she wouldn't **** you right after the date, so you go home, or would you rather go to her place, get a blow job and then she tells you she won't **** you.

Depends on whether you find out later that she's actually a man.

If I was a Bills fan, I feel like losing one or two SBs in the 90s would be less painful than losing four in a row.

Again, I'm not saying you don't want to go, because you can always win. So it's an academic discussion. I'm just saying losing SBs sucks.

Losing any playoff game sucks just as bad if not worse. Losing to the Bengals was way worse than losing to the Bucs.

I agree, because if you lose the SB (and it's not a blowout) then you went mano -y- mano with the best and you came up short. Nothing wrong with that.

When you lose in the playoffs, it just sucks.

Though it IS true, when people talk about SB's, it's how many you won, not how many you played in. That's why people say Mahomes has 2 SB's...he's got 3, but he only won two of them.

When you have Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid and Spags you take the Super Bowl.

You don't worry about losing you figure out how to steal a game if your roster does not match up the way you like.

Yep. I think it speaks to the hot take culture. The Super Bowl loser is instantly memed for whatever reason, almost as if it would be preferential to not even make it there; but that’s ignoring the fact that getting there is an accomplishment in itself.

Making it to the Super Bowl means you had a hell of a time as a fan right up until early February; whereas, losing in the Wild Card Round or whatever means you’re annoyed in early January instead lol
