But totally agree that officiating absolutely needs to be a priority this offseason. Targeting jawaan Taylor while lane Johnson can do the same damn thing every snap is just comical .
I'm not even mentioning the Toney penalty. He was offsides. It was a good call. I'm talking specifically about the inconsistency across the league for offensive lineman being able to get a jump on the snap of the ball.

It sucks but there's not a lot you can probably do. The NFL tried to make an example of us and learned quickly why it's hard to change points of emphasis in midseason. Sucks that we got scapegoated for the NFL to learn that the hard way. Focusing on that now is just going to lead to OTs playing tentative at a crucial stretch

So you're saying the NFL went "Hey, make this a point of emphasis moving forward" and the refs took that to mean "Hey, make this a point of emphasis moving forward for the Chiefs but ignore the rest of the league"?

If they were focusing on it, it would be called in every game against every team.

Or, ignore it for the entire game until the very end. If there REALLY was a genuine interest in mitigating offensive offsides they would've called it the first time, AND every other time.

And they would have called it last night too in non-Chiefs games, but alas...

Again, NFL officials call everything they see, but only see what they want.

a flag was coming out on that play irregardless... Toney just made it easy for them(Refs, NFL, Vegas, etc...). KC wasn't going to win that game period, there would have been a hold or something else called for us to argue over. If Toney had been lining up offsides all game, that again made it an easy flag at that point for the refs. If it wasn't for the incredible play, that included Toney, we'd be here in a vacuum arguing about it instead of it being national news.
