I was at a sports bar yesterday so I couldn't post much, but I wanted offer a quick comment that Willie Gay's 4th down stop in the red zone may be viewed historically as the turning point of our season. We were down 17-13, they had a 4th and 1 at our 6, and after that stop they didn't score another point.

I'd like to see a replay to know exactly what happened. I'm pretty sure that Gay used a Star Trek transporter to materialize in the backfield. It was a three-yard loss and he had to wait for Mixon to arrive to tackle him.

That was huge and considering Gay missed the tackle on Browning on the play where he scrambled for the TD. I think Bolton got on his ass for it and they had a small kerfuffle on the sideline. It was great to see Gay bounce back and make such a great play.

Wish it hadn't been so difficult this year though.
What’s crazy, when you think about it, is how close the Chiefs are to having a near-perfect record despite how bad they played.

- Drop by Toney that turned into 7 points vs Lions in game we lost by 6;
- Drop by MVS that could have won the Eagles game
- Drop by Mecole that let the Broncos get up 2 scores instead of a go ahead drive by KC
- Bad throw by Mahomes to let the Raiders despite only giving up 6 points
- Offsides penalty by Toney that negated the go-ahead score versus the Bills
- Interference on MVS in the Packer game

I get it that every season comes down to a handful of plays but when you consider how awful the Chiefs have played on offense and to be that close to having many fewer losses it gives me hope for the post-season. Just don’t shoot yourself in the foot and you win most of those games.

Was that what happened? I didn't have any sound so I could see Gay being ticked off and Chris Jones calming him down. I didn't know what Gay was mad about other than maybe being mad that he whiffed the tackle.

My impression is that he and Bolton are buddies, so I'm suprised that they would have a tiff.

Chiefs have been in every game despite the struggles and not getting turnovers says alot about how dangerous they are

Hard to be as good as they are in spite of that

Lions game was a 1 point loss, which makes the Toney Pick 6 even more painful

I think we're really being underrated right now by the casual fans and stupid commentators. This team is built to win several different ways.

It's really a defense that SHOULD be forcing turnovers too. An elite pass rush, teams consistently in long distances, big hitters at LB and in the secondary. Secondary players that are always on the offenses hip pockets, a D line that bats a TON of passes into the air, Jones being great at strip. It's just so weird. Then you watch Baltimore and the ball just magically floats right to them unforced.

It wasn't Bolton it was Omenihu.

Despite leaving Week 17 with a 25-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals that clinched the AFC West, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Falling behind 17-7 after back-to-back touchdowns by Bengals quarterback Jake Browning (one passing, one rushing), Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay and defensive end Charles Omenhiu began shouting at one another as they returned to the sideline.

The animosity didn’t end once they got back to the bench either as Gay had to be restrained by fellow linebacker Nick Bolton after he continued to trade verbal jabs with Omenihu.

Very curious to know exactly what the argument was about.

Gay missed the tackle on Browning when he scrambled and ran for the TD. Gay should have obliterated Browning but instead he went to the side of him and stuck his arm out. Gay could have and should have prevented that TD.

Was a game comment. I truly felt the momentum shift going into half time. Sorry you didnt...
