Hell, I think we should have a retractable roof, and the week before every cold weather game the Chiefs could ask STHs to take a poll to see if they want the roof open or closed on GameDay.

Then, if STHs want to sit in minus 30 degree winds, they can vote on it.
Good grief.

I don't mind the idea of a retractable roof. But I would expect it to rarely be used and utterly pointless for the money. The only reason they would do it would be to get a superbowl.

What is really funny is look at the cities that have domed stadiums. Most are in regions that really don't need them. The cities that would benefit the most don't want domes.

Buffalo absolutely has a reason for a roof... not just snow or temp, but high winds on top of it.... it's the worst weather in the country. And it's every ****ing year.

Arrowhead just a couple years ago had two beautiful winter games for their playoff run and I don't believe last year was bad either (but wasn't there and could be wrong).... and very rarely is the field or weather practically unplayable. The Seahawks torrential downpour comes to mind, but that was what, like 20 years ago?

Just like what's happening in Buffalo, most of it is getting to the stadium... once you're there, it's pretty much always fine unless you aren't prepared for the weather.

Yeah, I'd say the main thing is heat.... Chiefs/Cards last year was like 105 outside and I believe they open the roof if it's under 80 (or close to that).

Here are the stadiums that are domes. Except for LA and New Orleans, most can get hot as hell or really cold. Supposedly, NFL ordered New Orleans to have a dome because of bad thunderstorms.

Allegiant Stadium – Las Vegas Raiders
AT&T Stadium – Dallas Cowboys
Caesars Superdone – New Orleans Saints
Ford Field – Detroit Lions
Lucas Oil Stadium – Indianapolis Colts
Mercedes-Benz Stadium – Atlanta Falcons
NRG Stadium – Houston Texans
SoFi Stadium – Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams
State Farm Stadium – Arizona Cardinals
U.S. Bank Stadium – Minnesota Vikings

To be honest as ugly as Miami is, I like how they protect the fans from the weather but keep the field exposed.

I was in the first row of the upper deck for the Superbowl and we couldn't see the flyover before the game due to the partial "roof".

Sorry, this strikes me funny, as every NFL player played every game outside since pee wee football.

Weather is the great equalizer, as it should be.

This game is as much mental as physical, it separates the men from the boys.

The years before it was covered would have been brutal on a 1 pm game

I think maybe the concept of retractable is too complicated for them to understand.

So, the roof can be closed, stopping rain and snow from filling the stands and making the field trash.

So, the roof can be opened to expose players and fans to the elements. Just like a stadium without a roof.

You can literally have it both ways.

I don't think I can explain it better than that.

When the game was invented, outside was the only option. That doesn't make it the best option for today's game.
I want a retractable roof.

Because that’s how football has been played regularly in the modern era and what’s defined the tough vs the not tough.

Asking this question after last night makes you a pathetic troll. Get a ****ing life, pussy. I guarantee you Chiefs players had more swagger after that win.
