For the last 5-6 years the Chiefs has struggled - MIGHTILY - to find motivation.

Many of them have even said as such. They get stuck in neutral on occasion. It's been rare that they've been fired up and just played poorly. Mostly its a sort of malaise that overtakes them.

They're going to be underdogs on Sunday - that's gonna be stuck on every locker room stall and bulletin board in the facility all week.

These boys take notes and they've seen a lot. It takes a bit to get 'em fired up. I think this will do it.

That happens in the regular season. They're bored with it. It doesn't matter as soon as it's over. It's a thing to be suffered, endured, and put up with because it has to be done to get to the playoffs.

And when the playoffs start they're a whole different beast...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Well...they need to get over that.

Cause that's how we ended up having to go on the road so much this postseason.

Can't wait to end the Buffalo Bills season once again and this time, the Sean McDermott era too. (I'll be a little sad to see that part, ngl)

"so much"

You mean our first ever road game since Mahomes has been in KC? There's a very real chance that if we win on Sunday, we could be back in Arrowhead the following Sunday, "because Lamar".

I'm assuming a Baltimore win. I dont' know that it's particularly close to be honest.

I've spent some years, sitting in a room, staring at a wall; not seeing the wall, looking past the wall, looking at this night; inhumanely patient, waiting for some secret, silent alarm to trigger off.

Sheriff McDermott - death is coming to your little town.

Yep. Mahomes has said he actually prefers being the villain on the road than the hero at home. He's definitely looking forward to his first playoff road game.

He has been in 15 playoff games as a starter. He is 12-3, two of which were overtime losses. He has four fewer playoff wins than every other QB still in the playoffs..........combined.

He has more SB appearances and wins than every other QB still playing...........combined.

He has more Championship game appearances and wins than every other QB still playing.........combined.

Give me the guy who has been there and done that more than any QB still in the playoffs.

It's not like the above numbers are a product of him being a game manager and being carried by his team. He is the biggest reason for the above.

While he doesn't win every game I won't ever bet against him in the playoffs.

He’s not going. The Bills don’t leave it up to players and don’t play injured players. Douglas said he was good for yesterdays game but didn’t play.
