That Raiders game playbook of the Chiefs playing a game on Christmas Day that they were completely unmotivated or uninterested in playing doesn’t seem like a replicable formula.

Well that certainly changes things...

On top of all the injuries, that one would just feel like a death blow.

I'd be curious to study whether the Raiders playbook on Christmas was pass rush or secondary coverage. I think guys had trouble getting open and the Oline could only hold back the pass rush for so long.

Watson made a lot of good plays that day and CEH was the RB not Pacheco (even though CEH has found some fire as of late, which I love).

Also, two OAK defensive touchdowns in a 7-second span.

I think our Kryptonite is a team with a hardcore defense. We got (I think?) 100 percent of the Dolphins offense and held them to 7 points.

So if BUF has a depleted defense I think we can win if we keep ball control in check and let Allen give us a turnover or two.

Gotta find the friggen end zone tho. Don't think we can field goal our way to a W against these guys.

Cowherd always does this exercise for big games claiming its a bit of an indication of how the game will go. Name the top ten players in the game. It should be noted the Chiefs had THREE first team All Pros (Thuney, Jones, McDuffie). The Bills had one second team All Pro (Taron Johnson). Also of note Taron Johnson is in concussion protocol and questionable for Sunday.

1. Mahomes
2. Allen - Bills
3. Kelce
4. Diggs - Bills
5. Jones
6. Thuney
7. McDuffie
8. Johnson - Bills (concussion protocol)
9. Sneed
10. Maybe splitting hairs at this point. Could make an argument for Humphrey, Bolton, Karlaftis or Poyer, Hyde, Oliver

Plus, their D-Line was blowing up the LOS on every play. That's not really a playbook to emulate. That's what you want every football game but that kind of dominance is rare. They just owned the Chiefs on the LOS.

I want Toney back next season. His talent is undeniable. At this stage of the postseason though, with the defense we have, he can't be trusted. I sure as shit dont want him handling the ball as a running back. If we dont turn the ball over we arent losing.

I’d have to go back and rewatch the game - which I have zero ****ing desire to do - but, my memory is that the line was getting crashed almost indefinitely most of the day. I don’t recall the WRs having a lot of time to not get open.

Re: Taron Johnson Concussion

Players who suffer a repeat concussion in the same szn miss a median of 12 days compared to single concussions (median 9 days) and initial (median 9.5 days)

He has managed to clear concussion protocol within a week the 4 previous instances.

Martin also was able to continue his holding duties which thankfully aren’t affected by the injury.

After the game, there was a discussion about whether a new punter is needed if Martin is unable to plant and kick effectively. If he has a Grade 1 or even Grade 2 strain of possibly the biceps femoris muscle which is where he grabbed, I don’t see how he plays.

The Bills did release Leonard Fournette on Tuesday which suggests that they may move to sign a punter to the practice squad.
