Losing Mitchell earlier in the year changed this BAL offense. He was the burst, the wiggle, and the speed coming out the backfield outside of Jackson himself. He was averaging a ridiculous 8.4 yards a carry and drew attention away from Lamar Jackson. It was an irreplaceable loss.

In some ways Buffalo coming out hammering the Chiefs DL and Allen running all over did this Chiefs defense a favor. That's what we are in for this week except, as others have said, Jackson doesn't have near the arm talent Josh Allen possesses.

The game plan is simple.

Stop the run. Stop the run. Stop the run. And oh? Keep Lamar in the pocket!

The Ravens do have good recievers but I think our elite pass defense can lock them down and force the Ravens to beat us with Lamar's arm. This will be a grind from start to finish.

Offensively teams have been able to run on the Ravens this year. A balanced attack will be the key. The Chiefs had a very nice blend of power and finesse last week that kept the Bills on their heels. More times than not the Chiefs moved the ball at will. It will be tougher this week but we have the team to get it done and we're gaining momentum, catching our stride at the right time.

I think Lamar gets exposed this week and Patrick steals some MVP votes. But I'd happily just take the Super Bowl ticket instead.

Side note: Of the other three QB's remaining in the Playoffs none posed a bigger threat than Josh Alllen last week. The talent surrounding those QB's are clearly better however. What a ride this continues to be. : )

Lamar doesn't scare you the same way Allen does. Ravens are a more complete team than the Bills but I'll take the elite QB every time in crunch time. Spags has to do the opposite of the Buffalo game. Commit to stopping the run and let Lamar beat you with his arm.

Put Sneed and McDuffie on islands with OBJ and Flowers and force Lamar to stay back and throw to other options. Rush Karlaftis, Omenihu and Jones and sit back and let Lamar unravel.

Get aggressive and cause a couple turnovers on corner blitzes.

Force him to think a lot. Force him to go to his 3rd and 4th reads and punch at the ball.

If Rice is 100%, we have a better than average chance at another Super Bowl.

I bet Bolton has another huge game like against Philly in the SB. He’s going to be crucial in this one in diagnosing plays and laying the wood.

Lamar Jackson is going to fold like a cheap suit. If KC can somehow get ahead on the scoreboard in this game and force Lamar to be a quarterback, I think you'll see him crumble just as he did in his first MVP season in which a stout Titans defense brought it to Lamar after the Ravens went down 14 early.

I said this after Jackson went down in flames, pouting on the bench as he was rendered ineffective.

There's a big difference between a running quarterback, and a quarterback who can run. Lamar Jackson and The Ravens ran 88 plays and put up 12 points.

Jackson attempted 59 passes, only threw one touchdown, but also threw two picks and lost a fumble. 12 points on 59 pass attempts should tell you all you need to know about Lamar as a QB when the lights are the brightest.

Lamar is still that guy.

If these receivers can get their shit together, and thus offense can perform, and actually cash in the redzone instead of settling for 3, Lamar will buckle under the pressure.

He definitely shines against offenses like this. Ones that do a lot to get the edge in the run game.

How can you mention 2019 without bringing up jackson coming back in 2021, get a lead thing doesn't matter anymore they have wrs now, nfl passing scheme, in the rams game they were down and he led them. With andrews coming back expecting the linebackers to be attacked.

If our DL is even passable against the run, I think we win. Not guaranteed, but as others have said I think you put guys on islands at the back and just do everything to stuff the run and bottle Lamar up.

The're a very good team. In many ways I think they're for this year what the Eagles were last. A loaded roster, probably the "best" player for player in the league BUT their QB isn't.

I rate Jackson more highly than a lot on here, but if he's forced to throw a lot I fancy our chances, even if our offense doesn't get much going.

I'm not sure I'd "waste" one of our thoroughbred studs on 700 year old OBJ. I think Williams or Watson could shut him down. I might play McD on Flowers and have Sneed free to roam about like he did more of last year. Have him keep eyes on Likely when he is in. Andrews is a great player but I'm not concerned about anyone who has been out two months. The only way the Ravens win this game is if Gus Edwards turns into Earl Campbell or if Lamar goes totally nuts (Like Kaepernick that one year vs GB nuts) on the ground.
