Let's start with why you're using arguably the worst game of Lamar's career, 4 years ago, as the comparison game. Is the body of work this year - or the playoff game 3 days ago - not probably the better barometer? The titans defense wasn't even that good in 2019. They were 12th in points allowed and 21st in yards allowed. We just sucked all around and Lamar was awful. But, again, four years ago.

Also, the Lamar buckling under the pressure narrative is tired and just untrue. Pressure seemed pretty high on Christmas against the 49ers and then the next week at home to secure the one seed against the Dolphins. I can't remember but I think he did pretty well? Pressure was high this past week to get the haters off his back and advance to the AFCCG for the first time and he had 4 TDs.

I think a frustrating part as an opposing fan on a board is when you just read selective memory nonsense. I don't think it's productive or fair to just talk about the worst game of Mahomes career (2020 SB?) and pretend that game has literally any impact on the one about to be played this weekend.[/QUOTE

Football team message boards are really about 90% useless but it is nice when you find that 10%. I would say selective memory takes are more like hopeful wishing.

I have watched only a few hours of Ravens football this year but you guys are on a great run. Easily beat teams don’t make it this far. But every team has weaknesses. I do think Kc’s best bet is stopping the run enough to make you pass more than you should. If you think you can throw the ball all over the field you will probably lose. Wish we had flowers. Kid seems special.

We have the experience which definitely counts for something. I envision this game to be a one score game first to 27 wins.

Good luck Ravens. #15 is all about legacy and catching Brady. It will not be an easy win.

FYI ravens board has the same 90% 10% split

Ps We are all nervous and hopeful we win. Anyone who is 100% confident is a fraud
Totally agree! To be clear, I think the Ravens are going to win (I mean, of course I have to say that), but you guys have a great pass defense, and if you're WRs decide to catch balls, it will be quite the battle!

Be honest. If the Chiefs win big it will be greatly entertaining when the Tomahawk Chant gets broadcasted out to the elitest DC Maryland snowflakes that abandoned the Redskins to follow Art Model's old team. Irony.

It's just wild. Lamar is about to win his second MVP and yet every single opposing fan uses the same narrative. He can't throw outside the numbers, stop the run and force him to pass and they're f'd! It's wild the amount of disrespect he gets as a soon-to-be two time MVP while the same folks slobber all over people like Josh Allen (who is also good, but, you know, not a soon-to-be 2 time MVP). I wonder why!

You never bet against the All Time great players and only one of these 2 teams has that. Especially a HOF QB with an ELITE defense.

Im taking the team with the better defense, better coach, and better QB. KC has all 3 this year

I’m hoping for one of those special game plans that Reid cooks up against the best defenses (like the Niners game last season or every time we seem to play the Ravens). This could be a grind it out slog if we can run and the Ravens get pressure. Or we could come out and out scheme them with Mahomes flawless execution.

If Lamar out duels Mahomes then so be it. But I think we have the great equalizers in Andy and Mahomes. As always, we just need to execute.

And before you try to argue...

Only one of these 2 teams hasn't given up 30 points or 400 yards. Baltimore faced a softer schedule as well.

The offense has also found it's groove averaging 30 a game in the playoffs. (Yes I'm counting a score on the Hardman fluke fumble)

I personally think that Baltimore is the better overall team in terms of talent. The issue is that playoff experience matters, and Spags has proven he's able to come up wrinkles to shut down running QBs. I'd call this a coin flip kind of game, but until the Ravens prove they're the outlier who can beat Mahomes in the playoffs, I wouldn't bet against him finding a way to win.

Lamar was on my fantasy team...and even in that setting he was wildly inconsistent.

Also in fairness Josh Allen can make throws Lamar simply can't make.

At some point the almost turnovers are going to bounce the Chiefs way on defense.

They had like 5 almost forced turnovers vs Buffalo.

Every bounce in that game went Buffalo's way and they still lost.

Feels like the 49ers/Eagles SB all over again. The opposite team has a is just overall fantastic with very few weaknesses, and we have Mahomes/Reid.

Feels like another coin flip game. Need to limit mistakes, take any points you can get, and hope the football gods are on our side once again.
