Exactly.

Maybe Lamar's better. I'll even say for the sake of argument that he IS better.

But is he going to have a better game than Hurts had in the SB last year? Nah - dude was on point.

In a one game sample size, I'll take Jalen Hurts game in the SB over what's behind door number 2 from any QB in the league OTHER than Patrick Mahomes. Because it's possible that Jackson or Burrow or Allen will play a better game than Hurts did that day, but it ain't very likely.

Ask the Ravens fans if they'd lock in Lamar's game this weekend as identical in productivity and efficiency to Hurts in the SB and in their minds they absolutely would. In their hearts, they know they can't. Because it won't be good enough - it wasn't for Jalen.

They need Mahomes to be off or they need Lamar to play a better game than he's ever played in his life. Either COULD happen, but again - betting on it will yield thinner odds than you'd think.

You also need to account for the defense that Hurts faced vs the defense that Lamar will face.

Those Eagles WRs also scared me much more than these Ravens WRs. Ravens WRs are fine, but I don’t see complete game wreckers like the Eagles had.

Does Karlaftis really have as many sacks as Jones and Bosa? That's insane lol

Criticize Brent Beach all you want for his WR picks outside of Rice, the man knows how to draft a defense.

The Texans loss is overhyped. Young team making young mistakes. Tied at half. Needed CJ to be CJ and every time they had any progress they got killed on penalties. Shitty field position all day, and defense was on the field way too long. Good teams like Baltimore pull away at the end but Texans did themselves no favors in that game. The key to beating Baltimore has and always will be making Jackson uncomfortable. Spags will be sending heat all day. Mahomes just needs to play like he did against Buffalo. Keep it tight and productive.

Chiefs defense and Spags put the clamps down in the second half. Look at opposing teams second half point totals last 7 or 8bgames. If the Ravens are down 7+ going into the locker room at half they are in trouble.

Mahomes playoff record after being down 7+ if I saw the stat correctly is 8-2. That is a freaking ridiculous stat. If the Chiefs are down 7+ heading into the break we still have Patrick Mahomes.

I'm going to go ahead and disagree with you there. Lamar is not "straight-up better" than about 5 or 6 QB's in this league. Completely over-rated player. People that know football, really know football, would be absolutely STUNNED if Lamar out plays Mahomes on Sunday. If we turn the ball over, if the Ravens run the football down our throats all day they can win. But it's the only two ways they win.

The wording there is confusing. Is he saying Mahomes>Lamar or Lamar>Mahomes? You could really take that either way.

To add to this, the Ravens don't have AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith stretching the field. That gives Spags some more flexibility in how he can defend the Ravens.
