Just spent $100 on lunch for myself

One day some of you low life lose pikers might get it.

You have no life and no money and no sex and no fun.

There are a bunch of clueless ****s here like Zach, the Franchise, Jewish Rabbi, AdolphBushHitler or whatever your name is, Invinci**** and a few others that have no life.

Go ahead and tell me how I pay for escorts or sex. Thats all you little ****s have.

I have no idea how that place exists outside of people who are seriously ****-you-money rich and business expensed meals.... and not that it's THAT expensive compared to other "fine dining"... granted, you can also spend $200 on one steak.

But then I look at the bourbon list and they charge $25 for an ounce or two of a bottle that cost $40 and can be found at Total Wine... and I've also read several reviews saying they'll kick you out on busy nights after 90 minutes. So, spend that $500, hurry the **** up and GTFO.

I've wanted to try it, but then I look at the menu and feel violated without even walking into the place.... wonder if I could find a business reason, like someone who wants to sell me a timeshare....

I don't think I would ever spend $100 on a lunch for myself, seems wasteful to me. If you gave me $100 I'd go buy the ingredients for a simple lunch and then save the rest.

Yeah, I want to retire before I'm 60, lol... I don't deprive myself by any means, but also won't throw money at things just to say I could.

That sounds expensive, but if you don't give a **** about bang for your buck, it's really not that hard to do. Couple of nice steaks & sides, a bottle of wine or two and couple of cocktails and you are there. I don't do that for my wife and I, but I have some clients that like this sort of thing. I'll do it for them a couple of times a year. It's such a waste of money, IMO, but if that's what the Client wants...

The fact you compare prices of things you buy in a store versus what you get charged at a restaurant tells me all I need to know

You must be a real miserable person to go out to dinner with constantly complaining to your wife and kids not to order certain things because too expensive and you can buy it cheaper at the store.

You go out to dinner with all your work colleagues and the first thing you say is: "Oh my God, look at these prices. I would NEVER pay this if I hosted"

Stay home and make yourself PB&J sandwiches and put your savings in the bank. That is what you should be doing.

To each his own but I can tell your worldly experiences are very myopic.

If I took you to one of the many places I go for a great lunch and service, you may think differently.

So if I'm in the Phoenix area you're going to buy me lunch at these places everyday for a week? I'd be down with that.

No idea why you're being a dick about it.. you said you expensed it and I said that's also the only way I'd go there, too.

And you do know a pour of bourbon in a restaurant is exactly the same pour from a bottle at Total Wine, right? It's not specially prepared like food, versus grocery store food. I love trying bourbon that way when a bottle is $300, so you pay a bit for a small pour... but, you're just bending over at the table paying half the price of a bottle for 2oz. That's an insane margin for cheap bottles.

Obviously, something like retirement isn't a goal for you given all the money you throw at things to feed your insecurities, and that's cool, I guess.

And guess I should start a thread every time I pay more than $50 for a meal, or get super defensive and tell you about a time I spent good money for food... but, I'm just not nearly that insecure.
