There are times on this board when I start to wonder whether people realize what goes on in the world around them. I have a bunch of friends/acquaintances in their forties and fifties that still like to get together and do piles of coke while they watch sports on the weekends.

To each his own, I suppose, but lots of people do this shit and it's quite arrogant to just sit on one's high horse and call them idiots or morons because those folks don't do what the morally pure folks would do.

Maybe that makes me a moral relativist but I really don't like telling people how to live their lives. If I wanted to be some kind of moral critic, I'm sure that I could at least SOMETHING objectionable in pretty much anyone's life, regardless of personal morality or idealogy.

This isn't a moral judgement at all. I could give a shit what people do in their own home with whatever, whomever. I don't think they are very smart not to be prepared with Narcan for a bad batch of drugs when the risk of death is in the media every day. Just like the idiots in the late 80's having unprotected sex when AIDS was rampent and all over the media. Not smart.

Fair enough. Maybe my point is that you're still making a relativistic judgement based on your level of intelligence. You are smart enough to test or be prepared with Narcan. That's great. That means folks don't have to worry about you. But a lot, and I mean a LOT, of people are quite impulsive and will continue to use questionable judgement in situations like this, particularly when drugs/fun times are involved.

Honestly, this is why I made the original response to BRC. That's what most of his posts do. It always ends up being a comparison to him and how smart he is or what he has that others don't. It's a tired schtick.
