What do you EXPECT tomorrow?

Not what you want to happen but what are some things you expect to happen during the game tomorrow, good or bad?

I expect it to be ugly. Baltimore will kick our ass quite a bit on both sides of the ball. I expect to lose the turnover battle. I expect Mahomes to will the team to a close game and give us a chance in the fourth quarter despite the fact that the Ravens are the better team on paper.

I EXPECT this. I expect a win every time the Chiefs take the field anymore. Because Mahomes.

But with our injuries and bone headed plays this year (including last week, I'm looking at you Hardman), ANTICIPATE a loss.

Maybe anticipate isn't the right term. I just could see a loss. It wouldn't surprise me is what I'm saying.

Hardman has had **** ups in each of the last two games.

He’s going to do something memorable. Either a big positive play at a critical time or a major **** up.

Don't know.

If I just listened to the talking heads this week there's basically no need for us to show up as we're going to get throttled badly. Like 35-21 type shit.

And honestly, regardless of be design or not, we allowed Buffalo to rush for 180+ yards on us last week. I get the game plan was to not allow the big plays, but we got absolutely GASHED in the running game early on. Buffalo simply got away from it because they had to take some shots.

If The Ravens get up on us, my thoughts are, they will be able to line up and gash us and weon't ever need to pass and that'll be that.

Not having Thuney is huge too. This will be the best defense we will face this year, even if we get past them. The 9ers defense is a fraud.

Oddly enough, we are nightmare matchups for the Lions and 9ers because they both throw from the pocket and we have a whole line of shut down corners that can nullify their offense.

But the issue is, can we get to Lamar.

We need 3-4 sacks, and 2 turnovers in our favor that we get points out of, all the while making mistake free ball.

And we haven't done that ALL YEAR. So basically yeah, I think the odds of us winning are low.

6 straight AFCCG's is absurd - and if they lose, so be it. They'll be even stronger next year.

Or maybe we'll just **** around and win another Lombardi.

This. I won't be thrilled if they dump it. But I've said it for a long time... It's GODDAMN hard to win. It is exponentially harder to win consistently - that's why nobody does it.

After not winning a playoff game for 25 ****ing years, this team has earned a ton of rope.

Now, that being said, if this team shits the bed, I won't be thrilled. If they just beat us, OK they're really good.

It takes some luck to win. When you have talent it increases your margin to deal with luck. That is magnified when you have elite talent at leverage positions (QB passrush etc). So I like our chances. But they're good so nothing is guaranteed.

I expect a hard fought, close defensive game with some Mahomes magic at the end to get the Chiefs to their 4th superbowl in 5 years.

honestly IDC if they give up 500 rush yards as long as they only allow 7 points in the 2nd half

The playoffs are when we find out just what the high end of a QB's abilities are.
Pushing Lamar to his limits should work in our favor.
If we can get him in a position he needs to trade punches with Mahomes we're winning. If we can keep it close and give Mahomes a chance to win at the end we're winning. If we can hold them to 21 or fewer we're winning.

I think we're winning...

Ravens win toss and kick off.

The Andy script leads to a 10+ play drive, culminating in an Isaiah Pacheco td on a 22 yard maximum effort screen, fisting an over aggressive blitz.

Lamar comes out down 7, amped up, misses a couple throws, 3 and out.

Chiefs continue ball control with another 10 play drive, resulting in a 2yd bubble screen td to Kelce.

Lamar comes out down 14, begins to press. Uses his legs more, extends the drive, but a Ravens penalty kills the drive and they have to settle for a long FG attempt by Justin Tucker.

Couple non scoring drives are exchanged, and at about 4 minutes left in the half, KC runs all but about 30 seconds off before Rashee Rice takes a short pass intended to improve the FG position, and blasts off for a catch and run td.

21-3 KC at half, and the wheels fall off the Ravens from there.

KC peels back the disguise of an inept offense and smashes the Ravens in a 42-17 collapse of Lamar Jackson's Ravens.

I think we probably need a break or two. Turnover wise, special teams, just some momentum surge like scoring at the end of the half and to start the 2nd. That happens all the time though so I'm excited. We won the SuperBowl last year on a Hurts rando fumble return and an unexpected punt return.

In 1 and done tournaments you just have to get yourself in the best position to have things go your way as many times as possible. We've definitely done that w/ 6 AFFCG's in a row
