No one has really taken over a game against us so far. Those aren’t all scrubs either. Mostert and Achane especially.

I’m more confident in containing CMC than I would’ve been a few weeks ago.
I believe that the Bills ran for something like 168 yards against us. The Chiefs had their hands full. And I'm sure that they will against the 48ers as well. But it won't matter. I wasn't worried about the Ravens because of the Bills game. I saw the Bills run like we expected to see the Ravens run. But Lamar was never completing the passes that Allen was completing. That 13 yard TD that was Sneed's first of the year was a perfect example of a pass that Jackson wasn't going to make. I feel the same way about the 49ers. Purdy has got to, at some point, beat us with his arm. I don't think that he can do that against our defense.

Cook only ended up with 61 yards on 18 carries though.

Most of the damage the Bills did on the ground was Allen.

I theorized that the Bills had so much success on the ground for 2 reasons. 1) Allen is a physical freak and we really needed Willie Gay. 2) Spags was willing to allow him to run a bit if it meant negating his arm. He wasn’t going to let Allen torch us.

The Ravens game confirmed that for me. It was the opposite. We dared Jackson to make throws and he couldn’t.

The run game for the 49ers is much more traditional (not through a unicorn athlete at QB) which I think works better for us. Especially for a guy like Bolton.

Harbaugh was an idiot in this game. They should have run heavy all game with Jackson and Edwards. Edwards had several carries only. Lamar mostly ran on scrambles.

They were never beating the Chiefs with a pass heavy attack. Maybe if Andrews was healthier but he wasn't.
