After dancing this dance for 2 years, both sides knowing where they stand, and let’s not be naive both sides know the offers that await on the market. I think that’s optimistic to put it mildly.

Jones will have his new team about 5 minutes after the tampering period starts

Yeah, and of course the agents have already been talking to other teams. They know what other teams will pay.

I don’t see any way Veach waits around for Chris. This has been going on for the better part of a year.

Chris knows what Veach’s line in. Chris and Veach both know what offers are out there through talk at the combine.

Waiting on Chris and missing out on other quality players would be foolish, especially if Chris ends up not working out and Veach doesn’t sign anybody he wants bc he waited for Chris
