But most remember him as Mr McDowell, in Coming to America…

Dude grew up in Newark, went to Colorado St…. Can you imagine what a cultural shift that was for John? Holy cow. Gets shipped out of KC football for not being good, but gets into acting…

Massive presence…. And yeah, Beastmaster was sorta my first time with John Amos, and that movie was everything…. “She ain’t no slave girl!!!”

Die Hard 2! Big role.

He was just great and there’s a lot of reasons why he’s loved and remembered.

He was great, and he’s gonna be missed.
