Not to mention the ankle sprain in the injury we know about.

Who knows what other bumps and bruises have him drained right now as he leads the league in hits taken by a QB.

It might actually do him a little good to see how another QB operates with the other factors being the same.

Do you honestly think if they bench a cleared Mahomes when the team is 2 games away from the #1 seed and nearly 3 weeks of rest it will "un****" him?

I don't think he has any idea how mentally fried he is.

That's when his coach needs to step in. He was livid when Andy made him get an X-Ray as well - he got over it.

He's his own worst enemy right now. By a TON.

The kid gloves aren't going to do him a bit of good. The more I think about it, the more I have a preference.

I'd sit him. Livid or not, he isn't going to be able to win a championship wound this tight. I'm watching Sam Darnold work in the pocket SUBSTANTIALLY better than Mahomes tonight. Still missing passes, but he's standing in there in the swarm and delivering the football. I've seen at least 3 plays tonight where Mahomes would've bailed and gotten himself hit. Darnold stood pat and throws the ball.

If Darnold is comparing favorably to a guy with Mahomes talent in any way, something is amiss.

I never used the the word rest in my post.

Yeah so if he's cleared physically to play you would essentially bench Mahomes for a game and then think four days later he is going to have a big mental change?
