I honestly don't see the physical tools in Nix to ever play much differently than he's played this season.

He's never going to be someone that should be powering balls into tight windows 15-20 yards downfield. He's never going to have the precision that Brees had that allowed him to be a razor sharp downfield passer.

He's going to be a JAG who relies on scheme and game script to excel.

He's almost a best case scenario for us. He's Alex Smith when he grows up. That works for me.

You see that deep ball he tried to throw last night? He just didn't have anything on it. You have Bronco fans pissed because there wasn't a flag but the real question is how that ball ended up needing contact at the catch point to begin with. He just made a lousy throw.

And as a Chiefs fan, I KNOW lousy deep balls when I see them.

Yea. The WR had to stop and wait for the ball to get there. Never a good thing.

But Nix could have released the ball sooner? The protection was good from what I remember?
