Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

Feels like he's had a better career than 90% of the QBs taken in the first round since he was drafted.
He’s been ok the last few years. Far from great.

Reid was right to pass on him. Same as EJ Manuel

Geno Smith had one good year. Otherwise, not good.

I’ve always said this and will say it again, I’m thankful for Alex smith because without him, we don’t have machines and we don’t have 3 Super Bowls to our name in the recent years.
You're right. If there was no Alex Smiff we would have 4 Super Bowls instead of 3.

You can't possibly hate that man that much if you're willing to use his former name.

Matt Casshole didn't keep us from winning a Super Bowl.

I find it hilarious they asked Alex Smith the other day when he knew Mahomes would supplant him and be a great and he was basically like I never knew his rookie season. Hard to know when they get limited reps in practice bla bla bla. No buddy. Everyone in the org fkn knew. They knew almost immediately early in his rookie year. That was the scuttlebutt around league circles too, no joke. Then they shipped ur ass out after having a career year you risk adverse piece of dog shit.

Fk you Alex Smiff. I hope you go straight to hell.

I remember a Travis Kelce interview during Mahomes' rookie year where they asked about Mahomes, and Travis laughed knowingly. He said something like "we're seeing things you don't normally see" and moved on to the next question. Travis definitely knew.

But regardless, I have fond feelings for Alex Smith. He helped build the foundation for what the Chiefs were to become, and he was a class act.
