***The Sunday of NFL games without the Chiefs thread***

Just saw that the two early games on TV here in Phoenix area are Rams vs Jets and Cards vs Panthers.

Holy shit, looks like I can do something else for the first half of my day.

The eventual outcome was all but certain. Sure, it felt good when NE went up 14-0, but I (sadly correctly) assumed it was too good to be true.

One loss in almost a year.
I’ll put it this way.

If you doubted that Josh Allen would be able to overcome whatever flaws the Bills have as a team to win the Super Bowl, you would’ve been correct every year of his career.

If you doubted the Chiefs with Mahomes/Reid could overcome their flaws to win the Super Bowl, you’d be correct about half the time.

Big, big difference.

I don't think they coasted, other than the good fortune of recovering their own fumbles.

That's true. But I'm not surprised the Bills had a let down after their road trip. Division games are tough. And the Patriots are easy to overlook because they're not very good. Just based off this game, the Bills are an average team. But we now they're better than average. Just a fluky game that happens in the NFL.

Coasted/played like shit themselves, what's the difference?

Chiefs have had a half dozen games just like this one in the past 3 months

The Bills are what they've always been, Josh Allen has to be in god mode or they're going to struggle.

Especially since it's been done so many times in huge games.

Mahomes eyes never get big in a game.

Funny you are using the Chiefs to prop the Bills up.

Yeah, their recent schedule...
- Beating the Chiefs at home
- Beating the once mighty 49ers easily at home
- Losing to the Rams 44-42
- Beating the Lions 48-42

I'm sure they had a tough time refocusing for this one, even while still playing for HFA.

They did once - when San Francisco elected to receive in OT.

Bills defense is pretty damn bad.

Nearly 400 yards allowed by New England.

I was especially impressed by how they made that guy drop the backward pass, and then jumped on the ball for a TD.

KC’s 6-1 vs playoff teams (10-1 in the last calendar year). Buffalo is 2-3. They also have as many close wins vs weak teams as KC, and more lackluster performances.

Somehow, this adds up to “Bills are dominant and KC’s doomed.”

Using logic, yes. That game shouldn't change anyone's opinion of the Bills no more than it would about the Chiefs beating the Raiders at the buzzer.
