It needs to go two ways. Veach tried to give him his speed guys. But mahomes needs to prove he can consistently hit it, and Reid needs to trust him to hit it, and sometimes you see these guys go back and force between trust and distrust.

Then on top of that… Hollywoods injury to me was a huge blow to getting mahomes back on track. And then the struggles on the OL definitely didn’t help. Of course losing rashee hurt us but early in the season we saw Mahomes kind of tunnel vision on to him for short catch and run.

We need the right personnel consistently long enough for Mahomes to make mistakes. And we need the patience to make mistakes so he can get better. And i feel like we’ve been missing those ingredients

That also doesn't factor 2 of the guys with lots of touches Kelce and Hunt aren't explosive in this stage of their careers.
