I don't have any ill will for him....but beyond being a mentor to Worthy he really didn't move the needle for this team like we had hoped for.

Don't know whose fault that was, but it really didn't help that much bringing him to KC beyond the above that I mentioned.

I do think that Hopkins better days are behind him and that going to the Ravens he might just have the same luck that OBJ had there...

Also doesn't help he will be going to a system that has a QB that thinks "run first....pass only when necessary"

He did help us win a few regular season games. Most notably the Tampa and Raiders games. He can still play. He needed more snaps. Not sure if that was a load management issue or not?

Not gonna hate on somebody for getting old and not being good at football anymore. Glad he was at least a good teammate and hopefully Worthy picked up a thing or two from a once-great WR.

After going off his first couple weeks, and losing playing time after that. He didn’t make one peep about being displeased about it. A lot of players with his accolades would not have handled it with such grace. I definitely gained some respect for him

Too true. While many here thought he'd be a demanding diva, disruptive, a bad locker room influence, etc., he was in fact the opposite of all of that. He never demanded more playing time/snaps/targets, never skipped practice, never got hurt. Never complained about being used as a decoy instead of a target. By all accounts he went out of his way to help mentor our young WRs.

Basically he was as supportive a teammate as anyone could hope for.

Though, based on the results, maybe he should've been demanding more snaps/targets all along . . .

Tyler Lockett would be a good fit to replace him, surprised there’s no interest here on CP.
