What would you have done?

What would you have done differently in the draft? If you were against Simmons due to injury, who would you have taken instead? Would you have taken a weapon earlier? Share your thoughts here...

lol right

Chargers weren’t moving that pick to the Chiefs.

My re-do:

1.32 Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
2.63 Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina
3.66 Ashton Gillette, DE, Louisville (or Jordan Burch, DE, Oregon)
3.95 Charles Grant, T, William & Mary
4.133 Joshua Farm, DT, Florida State
5.156 Jeffrey Bassa, LB, Oregon
7.228 Brashard Smith, RB, SMU

So, I flip my risk and take Burden instead of Simmons and bet on Revel recovering from an ACL rather than Simmons recovering from a more severe injury.

These leads me to Charles Grant at 95, skipping Nohl Williams, and taking farmer in 4 instead of Royals.

I probably take Jordan Burch instead of Gillotte, but either way I’m happy with value there.

I would have jumped them and traded with the Cardinals.

lol

Would you have had your girlfriend Jessica Alba turn in the pick for the Chiefs, too?

Real life doesn’t have a “force trade” button.

I would’ve gone…

OT Simmons
DT Normon-Lott
DE Burch*
CB Williams
WR Horton*
TE Gadsden*
RB Smith

But I’m happy with what we got.

Yeah I think they hyper focused on “replacing Wharton”.

Broughton-348 pass rush snaps, 34 pressures, pressure every 10 snaps
ONM-139 pass rush snaps, 27 pressures, pressure every 5 snaps

Pressure rate is higher bc he’s fresh and played about 17 snaps a game. Think the size and length of Broughton would have been a better fit but we’ll see

And honestly, if you don’t want Simmons, don’t waste a pick on Charles Grant. He’s most likely not becoming anything. We’ve been down the development road before with Wanya and Kingsley. Feels like that road leads nowhere but a wasted pick.

It would have been great last year if we didn't take Worthy, when Rice and Hollywood went down.

I would have went RB earlier and double dipped at DT . I don't know how I would fill as many needs as this draft did though. I was disappointed we used our last pick on an RB but glad we didn't go WR early

I think we may have missed on TreVeyon Henderson but if LT gets solved for a couple years that's just as good if not better but I do think TH was the more solid bet. In the end both were needs and LT is harder to fill than RB and if my fantasy football record is any indication I'm not the guy you want consulting.
