Its pretty cool, but not unexpected. There's been enough years now between his time and present for his lineage to be expanded into most big breeding farms.

For a comparison, if you looked at quarter horse bloodlines, specifically in halter horses, I would say any given year all of the entries will trace back to a horse named Impressive. The weird part is how many times a specific animal can trace back to the same ancestor over and over and over. If done enough, it can unlock some pretty nasty genetic conditions that otherwise would have remained recessive.
