Based on what? Was he there? People really do overreact to reports based on 2 day rookie camps.

he does go to see his team nearly every preseason, but he didn't say he went to see them. And yeah, people do overreact to minicamp reports all the time. CP is rife with it every year, myself included on occasion.

What he did say was that Gabriel was less accurate and seemed more tentative than Sanders in minicamp and that he thought Dillon might be lucky to stay on the PS by week1.

edit: he also said Gabriel looks small. Like Bryce Young kind of small.

I have no doubt he looked better than Gabriel, but it's more about the hype. People are really hyping up QB play in shorts, so it's hilarious. I've been seeing it everywhere.

Yeah, I'm with ya. Hell, we hyped Skyy two years in a row. Preseason hype is worth nothing, in general. And it's not like my buddy is some Qb guru; he's just another effing football fan like most of us.

Rookie mini camp just came and went without us hyping literally anything that happened...

I mean it's probably more of an indictment on Dillon Gabriel than it is a testament to Sanders' ability, if even true.

I have a feeling they are gonna push the Sanders:Good narrative more than they did Tebow. Just for the clicks.

Sorry to be so disillusioned but I have good reason to be I feel

You might be right but one spiral I dunno

Especially after that one Sports Science I watched with Drew Brees where they broke down that a hitch in your spiral is actually MORE accurate than a perfect one. Just saying

I think that has a lot more to do with Dillon Gabriel underperforming everybody. Cleveland is so desperate for a QB they were doing cartwheels over flacco coming back. I think what they're reacting to is largely him throwing better than the noodle arm they expected. He's gonna have to do a lot more than that in pads to overcome his 7th round attitude
