Had to put a couple dogs down earlier this week

It was wild, two ferocious canines sitting there going at it, with little kids and wimmen up in a panic but nobody able to control either dog.

There was no way to get these dogs to quit, little kids trying to hit them with sticks, females who really didn't want to get involved. Two quick shots and everything became calm. One lady even graciously thanked me for taking care of the situation.

You should have seen this one guy, out in the street standing back by his truck not doing a thing to help those poor little kids or ladies who were absolutely terrified.

After that was all over, I went and had a nice helping of spaghetti and chili. What a sh1thole Cincinnati has turned out to be.

Interesting for me to see those two cities together. I found out over the weekend, while driving to the Yolo County Landfill, that there's a country road less than a mile from my house that is part of the historic Pony Express trail that terminates in St. Joseph. And most days of the week, I drive the westernmost stretch of US 50, which begins in West Sacramento and on its 3,073 mile to Ocean City, MD, passes through both Kansas City and Cincinnati. My office in Sacramento is just a few blocks from Hwy 50.

Until it was rerouted onto I-435 sometime around 1979, US 50 used to run along 47th Street and Swope Pkwy in Kansas City, a couple of blocks from my boyhood home near Paseo High. I still think of that stretch as "US 50" or "50 Hwy", given that I was born in 1965 and left Kansas City for college in 1984, but looking at the Missouri map archive (https://www.modot.org/missouri-highw...e-1979-current), I see that in 1980, that stretch near where I grew up was no longer officially US 50, just US 56. US 50 now uses I-435 to go through Kansas City.

The Flying Pig Marathon course in Cincinnati uses US 50 for most of it's 20th mile, and so I've run on that highway for each of the past four years when doing the Flying Pig. That's about the only stretch on that marathon that doesn't have great crowd support, given that it is isolated, so for many participants, it's their least favorite part of what is a very popular and very fun event, but I even like that stretch, because that road connects me to home.

I thought that was the whole point of skyline chili was that it was a reusable chili. How else does it end up looking like that if it hasn’t been digested and shit out multiple times already?!

I feel like some people are going to think I'm actually someone that could heartlessly shoot a couple dogs after seeing these responses

But would you be afraid of the people around the dogs?
