Current Players that are killing the Chiefs

other than the opposing teams RB's. Here's a group that needs to find their game, or find the exit:

Roaf - Willie looks horribly slow. I don't know if he's just old or is nursing an injury, but he's got to get his shit together. I don't know if Bober can play LT, but that might be an option until Wilie gets his game back in order.

Morton - Looks uninspired, slow to his routes and just all round bad. Dude has got to find some game, and bring it on more than just 2-3 plays.

Hall - Is Dante wearing ballet slippers? How many more times is he going slip and to trip himself up. I'm not asking for a TD return, I just want better balance from a guy who makes a living in the return game.

Hicks - Stop talking and start producing. I'm sick of this pussy. He scored a huge contract and has been worthless ever since. Say what you want, but his lack of killer instinct is a big reason we suck along the DL

Sims - We might as well plant a tree at LDT. At least a tree provides shade in the afternoon.............I think we can officially call this a wasted pick.

Barber - Hello, is anybody home? If you've seen Shawn, tell him we'd like for him to make a tackle. Getting one's hands on a player doesn't mean he's down. This isn't touch Shawn, it's tackle. Rap the fugger up and bring him down like a man.

McCleon - Dex had a nice season, last year. He looks gawd awful this year. We have to have him step up. Julian Battle, Will Bart and Sapp are just of no use to this team right now. This spot scares the crap outta me.

DV and the Staff - Show some fugging balls. Take a few chances, and stop playing like this offense is a juggernaut - cuz it ain't. Go for the 4th downs, stop playing like we always have a lead, and show something, anything that tells us you're alive! You and Your merry band of overpaid idiots need a gut check. Get it together during the week, and bring it to the field on Sundays. Nuff said.

They had the ball for 21 minutes in spite of the fact that our D produced a turnover and scored a touchdown to give the team the lead. Granted, the celebration penalty was boneheaded and all, but dammit, the offense contributed nothing in the second half. Yes you are correct on the long drive, but what about the fact that our O couldn't mount a drive to save our lives? If the offense would have taken advantage AT SOME DAMN POINT after the first quarter, we win this game.

...btw. Love your av...

Age has to be part of it. These guys just aren't as hungry. Hall will never be any real threat (as I've said all along). I'm ready to see Richard Smith in on every down. he may have dropped those passes, but on at least two of them he actually looked like he wanted it. He actually jumped for a high pass (gasp!) and came back to the ball (what a concept!).
Yeah, I've been pretty disappointed with Morton for a while now. I'd heard that he was a solid performer from some Lions fans and was expecting him to be quietly excellent in the ways that the fans of a team recognize in a player even when he doesn't put up flashy numbers. But Morton has done little to impress me with his play. This year he's been very unimpressive. I wasn't sure what his deal was, but yesterday I saw a replay on a ball thrown to him that told me a lot. I saw the game on mute in a sports bar so I don't know if it was commented upon by the announcers, but he just totally punked out on a ball that was thrown to him over the middle in traffic.

I'm still hopeful about Hall as receiver. He has the kind of talent in the open-field that I expect he can learn to get separation from defenders.

Yesterday reminded me of the Chiefs' anemic offenses of, say, the 1996 season. I used to think that games were won at the line of scrimmage and that you can just plug in moderately good talent at the skill positions and still get good performances as long as you dominate the line. I've grown past that notion. There's a big damn drop-off between elite skill players and the overall replacement-level stuff that occupies the 2nd and 3rd-string on most rosters, it now seems to me.

I don't know if the other Chiefs' receivers are atacking the ball or not. Morton sure wasn't on that one play. I'm pretty confident that Green is capable of delivering the ball where it can be caught, so whatever problem there is with our passing game must lie with the receivers' lack of skills, but I don't know what skills each of them lacks.

On the other hand, my opinions on receivers aren't all that great. When Joe Horn played for us, I was convinced that he lacked the football smarts to excel in the NFL, based on a handful of plays in which he failed to try to bail out a quarterback flushed out of the pocket by coming back toward the ball. He sure proved me wrong with his subsequent play in New Orleans!

I hope no one reads my previous post and concludes that I thought that the Chiefs dominated the line yesterday. They got their ass kicked at the line, from what I saw.

I had beef with Welbourne the first game, but looked much better against Carolina.

Roaf: Are you kidding me?????????? that is completely idiotic to look at him as a weakness
Barber: One of the few defensive players that plays well, he can't fill everyone's gaps.

I think our receiver play has sucked, Morton was a big time pussy on that one play against Carolina where he saw the safety and didn't even go up for the pass because he didnt want to get hit. I was pissed off about that. Kennison had a good game in Week 1 but didnt he get hurt early in week 2?
Richard Smith couldn't come down with 2 very catchable balls.
Siavii has been alright, Allen has been ok. Biesel has been solid but has made some serious mistakes with the run D.
We obviously need Wesley back IMMEDIATELY.
maybe we should try out Chris Horn in a game? he catched everything in preseason, then again so did Richard Smith but you might as well try him, we can't toss it to Tony every time.

where did the Priest Holmes screens go??????

Dude, if you can't tell that Willie has lost a step and looks slow manning up, espeically in the pass game, then you are looking thru rose colored glasses. I love Willie, but his game looks off.

Re: Barber
Plays well? If playing well means missing lots of tackles, then yes, he's playing spectacular right now.
