Playoffs?

Straight up or down. No qualifiers, no ifs ands or buts. Not even a “Bite Me, Gaz” option. Sure, it depends on lots of factors, so make your best guess as to how those factors will play out and lay down your vote.

Will the Chiefs be in the playoffs this season?

I was just going to post my opinon on this Gaz - you beat me to it.

The way I see it, if the Chiefs win Sunday they have a chance. As of right now, we're only a game out. What if SD pulls off a miracle and beats Denver? I don't think the Raiders can beat Tampa Bay. Chuckie gets his revenge.

If that were to happen then SD is LEADING the division, and you know that is not going to last.

All we have to do is win the division to get to the playoffs. I think we can still do that if we run the table with the other AFCW opponents.

I think it is still obtainable.

Way too early to tell. IMO, by the end of week 6, we should have a pretty clear picture of the Chiefs playoff hopes...

No the Chiefs wont make the playoffs. The window slammed shut on this team last year against Indy.

To make the playoff the Chiefs have to go 10-4 the rest of the way. There is no way thats happening.

This team doesn't work when the offense is ranked 20th. If we can't beat Carolina in Arrowhead after they have a short week and tons of injuries...

It's just getting hard to imagine. Even if they were to go 10-6, that means they really have to go 10-4 now for the rest of the season, and do it against a really tough schedule.

I really thought we would beat Carolina. If we lose this week, it's over. And we're going to need to get our first win without Holmes. We'll see.

Since we have to vote just yes or no, and all I have to go on is what I have seen the first two weeks, I have to vote no.

If we were allowed to have qualifiers, I would have voted yes. If the injuries heal, yes. If the defense makes the tackles, yes. If Dante actually starts making some returns, yes. If AS returns to form, yes.

But based on what we have seen the first two games, no. Didn't see enough improvement from game 1 to game 2 to say either one was a fluke.

If I based my vote strictly on the first [2] games, I would have voted no. We have looked staggeringly bad. A team without its starting WR & RB ripped through our D and our O has yet to show up for even half of a game. The past two weeks have been pretty bleak.

But I believe the D will continue to improve [baby steps, but improvement nonetheless] and I believe Saunders will get his feces together and call a better game. The D has made some stops. If the O gets rolling at all, this team can win some games.
