This quote form and, and his standing by Lawrence Phillips for so long when he was the Rams coach are just a couple of reasons why I question Dick's credibility, and his talent evaluation.
It seems that he will vacilate when discussing a player he seems to personally like if that player's talent is questionable, or his character is flawed. But a player that he has no love for, is one that he will not hesitate to denigrate. It's obvious that McPassOn is just terrible, but Dick likes him, so in Dick's eyes he's just been beaten a couple of times. I'll bet McPassOn really loves Dick.
