Yeah, I seriously want no part of James. Injuries aside, I never considered him one of the better DEs in the country to begin with. I think he was the product of playing on a pretty good DLine, much like I think Blackstock was the product of playing in a great LB core.

I sure wouldn't mind if the chiefs drafted a DE in the first round...Pollack would be my first choice, then James. James is in my top 10 of players I want the Chiefs to draft. Eric Hicks isn't exactly the PLAYER on this defense...Any upgrade we can get over him I'd be pleased.

I bet there are many DEs we could get in the second or third that would be an upgrade over Hicks. Would you be fine with us drafting one of them at 15? No reason to take an injury prone guy that has one year of good play at that spot.

Probably not, but i'm really against taking another DE in the 1st round. We already have 4 or 5 DEs, we really don't need another, especially in the 1st round.

He's prototypically lazy, disappearing for drives at a time. He's got a strange combination of too much height and not enough weight.

Like I said earlier according to Cook it's a moot point anyway, however James could also turn into a good player. I agree, he has bust written all over him, but that doesn't mean he is a bust just yet. I think he goes in the 2nd round or late first just for the record. Calling him a bust before he's even played a down, is only seeing the bust potential, than both sides of the coin.

Maybe Carl has a thing for James and will override our scouting staff so he won't shatter his reputation.

Unlike drafting a 2nd-3rd round talent DT with the 8th overall.

I'm convinced who ever the Chiefs get, he will not be worth a F.

Yeah, I remember Greg Robinson used to try and convert DTs to safetys.

The Vikings originally waived James Friday, May 23, but rescinded the transaction Tuesday, May 27, and finalized the trade with the Redskins.
