And the beat goes on........

4-0 Seattle in the first from a grand slam from Beltre. When will it end?

If David Glass had any sort of class, he would refund all Royals season ticket holders 100% for this garbage of a season. All 5 of them.

Ironically, their losing streak is leading to more national media coverage

FWIW, the '88 Orioles is a AL record. The MLB (And NL) record is 24 by 1899 Cleveland.

Give em some time. They'll turn it around.

If this 2005 team played the 1985 team, they might win a 7-game Series 4-3. Of course, those guys on the 85 Royals are in their 50's now.

I'd guess that the '85 team could still out hit and out pitch this hapless group of sissies. 18 straight?

Quite sad and ridiculous. It seems like most hte team don't know shit about fundamentals. Like taking a damn pitch etc. The only gamers i see are Sweeney, Dejesus and Stairs who work their ass off. The pitching staff, wow can't really go there, the era is 7+ during the streak and well team ba is real low too, this is really sad. 18 in a row, it starts from the top. I think Baird needs to jet, sure he's made trades etc that were decent or seem to be, but damn they don't know anything about letting players progress through the minors, how many guys we've called up and seemed to ruin this year. IT's crazy, we are just getting stomped every game, quite sad.

I'm with you. Let's set a record this year. If they're the worst team in the history of the game even Glass won't be able to ignore it.

Kinda makes you nostalgic for the days when they were blowing 9th inning leads, doesn't it?

Agreed....Baird needs to step aside if he has any dignity left. Hes in way over his head. I wish we could get a new owner as well, but i dont see that happening anytime soon. The whole minor league system needs to be retooled, new scouts, new coaches, hell, new batboys......They might as well let everyone go and start over from scratch because what they have now sure as hell aint workin.

Oh, and i hope they stop using the "Small Market" cop out as well. I dont expect them to go to the playoffs every year, but we shouldnt have to endue this crap for 20+ years now. Suddenly KC is starting to feel an awful lot like like Montreal.....

Since the last time the Royals won, which was July 27th. During this time frame that the Royals are on a losing streak:

7 million babies were born.

Gas prices from $2.29, went up to $2.55.

Owens threatened to hold out, reported to camp, thrown out of camp, and re-reported to camp again.
